Anastasia Trofimova is a Russian-Canadian documentary director, producer and cinematographer. She is most known for her work in Iraq, Syria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with films like "Her War: Women vs. ISIS", "Victims of ISIS", "The Road to Raqqa", "Congo, My Precious" and others. Her films address conflict, social inequality and injustice.
Anastasia was born in Moscow, Russia. She earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Toronto (in Communication, Culture and Information Technology) and her Masters from the University of Amsterdam (in International Relations).
