A Minnesota native, Miss Bartholdi quickly came to the attention of
members of Los Angeles' cinematographical society in large part thanks
to her short, "Sophie's Choice", a transcendent narrative about a
fractured relationship, told through the eyes of a small child. This
poignant film earned her honors and even an award from the venerable
Timothy Marx, a well known Hollywood producer. Brigitte had her eyes
set on the bigger prize however, and at the age of 23, was selected to
act as cinematographer on an untitled dramatic pilot, considered for
production by the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Starz.
After attending The University of North Carolina with her good friends and colleagues Ashley Sullivan and Craig S. Peck, Brigitte made her directorial debut, "Rudy's Search for Acceptance." While receiving tepid reviews as a director, her turn as cinematographer clearly illustrated that this was a talent ready to be molded.
Her knack for accessing her inner child has made her a major player at the prestigious University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Brigitte's portfolio shows a maturity and appreciation for the past, but with a sharp eye tuned toward the future.
