Jean Reno has joined the cast of Waiting For Anya, the adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s 1990 novel that started principal photography today.
Reno (Léon) is one of several new cast announcements alongside Josephine de la Baum (Madame) and Sadie Frost (Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie).

Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has signed on to star, alongside Anjelica Huston, in the upcoming WWII drama Waiting for Anya, an adaptation of the book by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo.
Schnapp will play Jo, young shepherd who, together with the widow Horcada (Huston), helps to smuggle Jewish children across the border from southern France into Spain.
Ben Cookson (Almost Married) is directing from a screenplay by Morpurgo and Toby Torlesse. Thomas Kretschmann, Elsa Zylbertsein and Tomas Lemarquis co-star. Alan Latham is producing for Goldfinch Studios with Phin Glynn for Bad Penny Productions and Daz Spencer-Lovesey co-producing.
