Abitur at the Gymnasium der Benediktiner Kloster Schäftlarn in 1987 (average 1.0); civilian service; 1989 studies of Japanese studies and history in Vienna. Returned to Germany after German reunification; studied mathematics with the support of the German National Academic Foundation in Dresden and Bonn (graduated in 1994 with 1.0). Doctorate (with funding from the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt) and PhD in February 1998 on the topic of the market introduction of renewable energies at the Department of Economics of the TU Dresden (evaluation: Summa cum laude). Previously completed postgraduate studies in business mathematics. Since 1999 managing partner of the self-founded company Dreberis. In 2007, member of the state board of the Saxony Union of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, in 2009 state treasurer and from 2011 to 2021 state chairman. Since 2021 honorary chairman of the MIT Saxony. In 2019, district chairman of the CDU Dresden and in November 2020, direct candidate for the electoral district 159. Honorary member of the expert committee for foreign trade of the Dresden Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
