Young Sheldon fans may have noticed that there was no new episode the week of March 21, and the trend will continue on March 28 as the series is usurped by March Madness one final time. Season 7 of The Big Bang Theory prequel spinoff will resume on Thursday, April 4 with an all-new installment titled, “Baptists, Catholics and an Attempted Drowning.” The installment will see Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) continue their wedding planning with some challenges as Baptist Mary (Zoe Perry) and Catholic Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) are pitted against one another. Fans will have to wait patiently to see it all unfold once the installment arrives in April. Until then, they’ll be relegated to either watching basketball that fills Young Sheldon...

Dick Wolf has made his mark on Hollywood — and soon the prolific producer will leave a lasting legacy at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Law & Order creator is gifting The Met more than 200 works of Renaissance and Baroque art — including rare pieces by Botticelli and Vincent van Gogh — as well as a substantial financial gift, the museum announced Wednesday.
The “transformative gift agreement” will result in the creation of the Dick Wolf Galleries in the department of European sculpture and decorative arts.
“From the time I was eight years old, I would stop at The Met on my way home from school, two to three times a month, and wander the galleries,” Wolf said in the announcement. “It was a simpler time, there was no admission, you could walk in off the street. I’m sure most collectors would agree that seeing your art displayed in the world’s greatest museum is an honor.

F.L. “Bubba” Copeland, mayor of Smiths Station, Alabama, and pastor at First Baptist Church in Phoenix City, killed himself on November 3 after a conservative blog reported that Copeland posted memes and photos of themself in women’s clothing online under the pseudonym “Brittini Blaire Summerlin.”
Last week, the conservative news blog 1819 News, once owned by the right-wing Alabama Policy Institute, published a post written by Craig Monger, entitled The Secret Life of Smiths Station Mayor and Baptist Pastor F.L. ‘Bubba’ Copeland as a ‘Transgender Curvy Girl.’
The blog shared photos of Copeland’s now-deleted Instagram and Reddit accounts. Copeland also allegedly authored and shared transgender-specific fiction and discussed hormone replacement therapy in some of the online posts.
In a Wednesday evening service at his church, Copeland, 49, announced, “The article is not who or what I am.”
He continued, “Yes, I have taken pictures with my wife in the...

Lidya Jewett and Olivia O’Neill in ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ (Photo Credit: Universal Pictures)
Everything that sprouts from the soil of The Exorcist pales in comparison, with only Jeremy Slater’s The Exorcist series (canceled far too soon after just two seasons) living up to the standards of William Peter Blatty’s book and William Friedkin’s film adaptation. With the bar set incredibly high, the odds were against The Exorcist: Believer from the start. And, unfortunately, not even the much-ballyhooed return of Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil can cast out the dreaded sequel demons.
The film kicks off with a flashback that only fills in minor story elements (since this is only part one of a planned trilogy). 13 years ago, married photographers Victor and Sorenne were visiting Haiti when a devastating earthquake struck the city. Victor escaped unharmed, but Sorenne was gravely injured. She survived just long enough to give birth to their daughter,...

This post contains minor spoilers for "Scream VI."
The "Scream" franchise has moved beyond its original director Wes Craven, who sadly passed away in 2015 (leaving the horror guru's final feature film as 2011's "Scream 4"). However, that doesn't mean the new stewards of the series, directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (collectively known as Radio Silence), are looking to forget him.
Quite the contrary; in 2022's "Scream" there is a scene that features a party honoring one of the victims of Ghostface, Wes Hicks (Dylan Minnette). In slyly clever fashion, the party allows the film and filmmakers to stage a tribute to Craven on a meta referential level, with the banner "For Wes" doubling as a dedication to the departed director.
The latest installment, "Scream VI," heavily features the series' new cast of characters and moves the action to New York City, yet the references to Craven are far from finished.

AMC is building a franchise out of the Vampire Chronicles novels written by Anne Rice, a franchise that began with the first season of their Interview with the Vampire series. Last Sunday, they started airing a series based on Rice’s Mayfair Witches novels – a series appropriately titled Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches (read our review Here). And during an AMC panel at a recent Critics Association presentation, executive producers of these shows revealed that they won’t be entirely separate. Viewers will see crossovers between Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches… which makes sense, since the Vampire Chronicles stories did become entwined with the Mayfair Witches series as they went on.
Esta Spaulding and Michelle Ashford, both of whom previously worked on Masters of Sex, are writers and executive producers on Mayfair Witches, and during the AMC panel Spaulding said there is one character who appears in both series already.
