Adapted from the 2015 novel by Katherine Center, Netflix’s “Happiness for Beginners” largely takes place in the wilderness, where different kinds of people are forced to bond while braving the elements as they hike the Appalachian Trail. Led by “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “The Office” alum Ellie Kemper, the gaggle of goofballs provides laughs of all kinds as well as some heartfelt moments.
Zealous camp guide Bennett (Ben Cook) keeps everything interesting, especially when he scolds Helen (Kemper) for her careless mistakes on the hike and praises Jake (Luke Grimes) for all of his perfect moves in setting up and taking down camp. Nico Santos and Gus Birney even more humor to this romantic comedy story.

Ellie Kemper portrays Helen, who wants to start over after she divorces her husband. She experienced infidelity and a miscarriage during their marriage.

Ellie Kemper has responded to backlash about her 1999 involvement in a St. Louis debutante ball with racist origins.
“The century-old organization that hosted the debutante ball had an unquestionably racist, sexist, and elitist past. I was not aware of this history at the time, but ignorance is no excuse. I was old enough to have educated myself before getting involved,” Kemper wrote Monday on Instagram.

After a Twitter user posted last week about the existence of the Veiled Prophet Ball, others quickly circulated newsletter clippings that showed Kemper’s participation in the event. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch archives, Kemper, who was a 19-year-old Princeton University freshman at the time, was crowned the Queen of Love and Beauty at the Veiled Prophet Ball on Dec. 24, 1999, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. The hotel was turned into the Hyatt Regency St.

Rainn Wilson and Ed Helms just had a (virtual) The Office reunion! During the most recent episode of Wilson's "Hey There, Human" series on Instagram with SoulPancake, the pair sang a mini version of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads." Fans of the show will remember that Wilson and Helms's characters, Dwight Schrute and Andy Bernard, famously had a sing-off to the song on the show in an attempt to serenade Erin Hannon, who had recently started working at Dunder Mifflin. They may not have had a banjo and guitar to back them up this time, but something tells me this performance would have Erin insisting on an encore. Ahead, see the Office alums discuss what they used to do in between takes on the show, and watch them sing their latest version of "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

Sorry, The Office fans. There's no reboot just yet. But Rainn Wilson and Ellie Kemper are here to help you get your fix of Dunder Mifflin content while you dream your reboot dreams. On Thursday, Wilson shared a screenshot of his texts with former co-star Kemper, and it's everything fans would expect from a text chain between Dwight Schrute and Erin Hannon. It started out with Wilson's hilariously blunt message, "Can I borrow 17K?" A casual request, no doubt. Kemper responded with the more than fair inquiry, "Yes. But can you tell me what it's for?" In true Schrute fashion, that was classified information. "I'm sorry I can't do...

You're not the only one wishing for a reboot of The Office. Ellie Kemper weighed in on whether she thinks one could actually happen on Thursday's episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "I would love there to be a reboot, but I don't think there will be," the Erin Hannon character said. "So, that's a sad answer. But maybe like a reunion episode? That would be fun." She then jokingly asked host Andy Cohen if he could orchestrate one. It looks like the cast members still have a lot of love for each other, too. When a caller asked Kemper how she feels about John Krasinski becoming a "huge action star"—and if she ever thought Jim would...

Saturday Night Live staged a mini-reunion of The Office as guest host and Michael Scott portrayer Steve Carell was confronted by three of his reboot-seeking former co-stars – Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms and Ellie Kemper – during the opening monologue.
Carell opened his monologue by talking about his movie career, but the monologue soon took on a “questions from the audience” format, with one eager SNL audience member asking whether Carell is interested in rebooting The Office, which is in development.
“Actually, I don’t think so, it was a great experience...

Well, well, well, how the turntables: Ellie Kemper would totally be down for a reboot of The Office. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star discussed her former role on the show as Erin Hannon and where she sees Erin now. "It was so cool to play a character that was so excited about everything that was happening to her," she told E! News. "She got a fancy job and an office, answering phones, doing her boss' errands: I think that was a thrill for her. She, sort of like Kimmy, has this wavering enthusiasm for life, which is fun to play." So where exactly would Erin be today in 2018, not 2013 when we last saw her? "I feel like she's doing something well and she's excited to...
