Has the Almighty ghosted Miles? That appears to be the case in God Friended Me‘s Season 2 premiere, as the podcaster hasn’t gotten a friend suggestion since Joy (Awkward‘s Jessica Lu) showed up and then bailed after learning all about the God account. Miles hasn’t been able to find her since then, and in the meantime, he’s scrambling with a storyline for Season 2 of The Millennial Prophet.
Rakesh suggests to Miles that maybe it’s time to move on from the God account, but the universe has other plans. After helping a soldier (Sleepy Hollow‘s Zach Appelman) with directions,...

The good news? The cure for every single illness in the world has (maybe) been found. The bad news? The cure — or rather, “cure” — turns its subjects into bloodthirsty monsters.

Netflix is defending itself against accusations on social media that it targets viewers by using race to promote its various television series and film offerings. Stacia L. Brown, creator of the podcast “Rise of Charm City” and a writer with bylines at The Washington Post, Buzzfeed, Rolling Stone, and more, gained attention on Twitter after observing some films on Netflix being advertised to her with posters featuring black characters, even if the film predominantly starred a white cast.
Brown posted a photo of her Netflix account with the film poster for Lauren Miller Rogen’s comedy “Like Father,” which was released on the streaming platform over the summer. The movie stars Kristen Bell and Kelsey Grammer in the lead roles, with Seth Rogen, Paul W. Downs, and Zach Appelman in supporting roles, but Netflix promoted the film to Brown with a poster featuring black actors Leonard Ouzts and Blaire Brook.

"Why are you here... after all this time? Why now?" Netflix has released the first official trailer for an indie dramedy titled Like Father, the directorial debut of Lauren Miller Rogen, a talented comedian / actress / writer who is also Seth Rogen's wife. The film is about a workaholic woman who, after being dumped at the altar, decides to take her honeymoon cruise with her estranged father who she hasn't seen since she was a kid. Of course, there's funny things that happen but then they realize how similar they are. Kristen Bell stars as Rachel, with Kelsey Grammer as her father, with a cast including Seth Rogen, Brittany Ross, Zach Appelman, Danielle Davenport, Lenny Jacobson, Wynter Kullman, and Brian McCarthy. This looks funny and heartfelt, with a good message I'm sure, I'm curious to watch sometime this summer. Here's the first official trailer for Lauren Miller's Like Father, direct...

Hey, "The Blacklist" fans. We're sure you're wondering where is the latest episode 9 of your favorite show? Well, it turns out that the previous episode 8 was the show's midseason finale. That means you guys are going to have to wait around for a little while to see the new episode 9. It's currently scheduled to air on Wednesday night, January 3,2018 in it's usual 7 pm central time slot on NBC. So, be sure to definitely jot that important date down on your TV calendars. NBC could release a press release for episode 9 any day now. Until then, we don't see any other details in sight for it. Back when it debuted, it looked like Fox might have a hit with Sleepy Hollow. It had a strong debut but the ratings got worse and worse over the course of its first two seasons. In the spring, network execs renewed it for a third season, despite the fact that the ratings were down about 40% year-to-year. They then scheduled it on Thursday nights, a notoriously competitive evening for television. Could the numbers possibly rise this season or will they drop lower? Does Fox care anymore? (Do viewers?) Cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.

He finds himself resurrected in modern-day and partners with a female police lieutenant (Nicole Beharie). What is Sleepy Hollow without Ichabod Crane? The show's panel at New York Comic Con forced fans to grapple with that question. Tom Mison, Ichabod Crane himself, had been slated to attend but was forced by a scheduling conflict to back out. Instead, Zach Appelman, who plays the new character Joe Corbin, a recovering Wendigo, joined fellow cast members Lyndie Greenwood and Nikki Reed and producer and writer Raven Metzner for the panel. But while Mison couldn't be there in person, he did manage to dominate the panel. After being introduced, Appelman announced that Mison had sent him an email to read to the gathered fans. He proceeded in his best English accent (at least, that was the intent) to declare: "Dear Sleepyheads, I wish I could have been there with you to watch that episode we've all seen before, but alas I had to remain in Atlanta for the...

Recent cast addition Lance Gross and brief second season guest star Zach Appelman have been upgraded to series regulars on the third season of the rebooted Fox supernatural drama "Sleepy Hollow".
Gross plays Daniel Reynolds, a Quantico-trained and political savvy FBI special agent and Abbie's new boss with whom she's worked before.
Appelman will reprise the role of Joe Corbin, the son of August Corbin (Clancy Brown), a marine who was cursed as a Wendigo. In this season he'll join Jenny to look into his father’s work to help Crane & Abbie.
The third season of the show is undergoing a creative reboot under new show runner Clifton Campbell ("The Glades") who is steering the show back towards the less plot heavy, lighter and more character-centric tone of the show's first season. The series is slated to return October 1st.

Joe Corbin’s not wendigoing anywhere for a while.
Sleepy Hollow has made series regulars of Zach Appelman, who plays the late Sheriff Corbin’s son/former supernatural hellbeast Joe, and Lance Gross, who’ll soon be introduced as Abbie’s FBI boss Daniel Reynolds, in the upcoming third season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Appleman’s character, a former Marine, was introduced (and de-wendigo’d) in Season 2’s “And the Abyss Gazes Back.” Gross’ Daniel will be reunited with Abbie (interpret that however you like) when he’s assigned to Sleepy Hollow.

Fox is continuing to fine-tune Sleepy Hollow. The genre series has promoted Lance Gross and Zach Appelman to series regulars for its upcoming third season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Crisis alum Gross closed a deal in late July to join the series in a major recurring role as Daniel Reynolds, the FBI special agent in charge — aka Abbie's (Nicole Beharie) new boss. Harvard-educated and following training at Quantico, Reynolds quickly makes a name for himself at the bureau with tenacity and political savvy. His assignment to Sleepy Hollow reunites him with Abbie. See more Broadcast

It seems the upcoming third season of Fox's supernatural procedural "Sleepy Hollow" is in for some major changes.
Four of the key actors are out including Orlando Jones (Irving), Katia Winter (Katrina), John Noble (Henry) and Matt Barr (Hawley). They aren't the only change though, the show's most iconic ghostly creature - the Headless Horseman - is not showing up in the new season either.
The new show runner Clifton Campbell tells TV Guide:
"There won't be any Headless this year. But we have a new framework and a new set of rules for the mythology. And it all starts with the introduction of our new big bad and will take us into a very interesting device which will allow us to see a somewhat more compelling, but more personal threat to both Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Crane (Tom Mison)."

Question: Any intel on whether Penny and Leonard will actually tie the knot on The Big Bang Theory? —Susan
Ausiello: They’ll certainly get close to tying the knot. The CBS smash is currently looking for a male actor in his 50s to play a minister in the Season 9 premiere, which confirms that P&L are still in full-tilt Vegas elopement mode when the action picks up. That syncs with this scoop I snagged from Ep Steve Molaro...

Lenny Bruce: Dustin Hoffman in the 1974 Bob Fosse movie. Lenny Bruce movie review: Polemical stand-up comedian merited less timid biopic (Oscar Movie Series) Bob Fosse's 1974 biopic Lenny has two chief assets: the ever relevant free speech issues it raises and the riveting presence of Valerie Perrine. The film itself, however, is only sporadically thought-provoking or emotionally gripping; in fact, Lenny is a major artistic letdown, considering all the talent involved and the fertile material at hand. After all, much more should have come out of a joint effort between director Fosse, fresh off his Academy Award win for Cabaret; playwright-screenwriter Julian Barry, whose stage version of Lenny earned Cliff Gorman a Tony Award; two-time Best Actor Oscar nominee Dustin Hoffman (The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy); and cinematographer Bruce Surtees (Play Misty for Me, Blume in Love). Their larger-than-life subject? Lenny Bruce, the stand-up comedian who became one of the...
