Passionate about India's history, Dr. Lall is the biographer of Subhas Chandra Bose & wrote The Man India Missed The Most (2017). His latest book is the inspirational life story of Har Dayal (2020). Dr. Lall has finished his first novel - an espionage thriller & is writing the biography of Sardar Patel. A prolific writer Dr. Lall has published over 1000 articles & his writing interests beyond the study of civilizations extend over Indian spirituality, foreign affairs & the business of entertainment. He worked as a Correspondent for UK's Screen International for 13 years & was a regular columnist in Indian newspapers & British magazines. He contributes a column in BW Business World.
In addition, Dr. Lall has held leadership positions as the President of a multi-billion dollar Indian conglomerate in Los Angeles, as Executive Director of Indian Broadcasting Foundation established the largest trade body in the Indian media sector, was the Senior VP of a TV Network & Member of the Board of Directors of entertainment companies. Dr. Lall is an investor himself & provides strategic advice on investments to top names in Hollywood, Europe & India.
Dr. Lall served as a member of the International Emmy's council, Indian Planning Commission's working group & Indian rep of the world's largest TV trade body - NATPE. A regular at Cannes for 25 years, he has attended the Oscars & was the guest of NASA for a satellite launch at Cape Canaveral. Dr. Lall is a much sought after jury member for film festivals & was on the jury of Annecy Animation Fest, Babblegum online film fest at Venice & the ENBA TV news awards. In India, Dr. Lall functioned as Co Chairperson of the Assocham Entertainment Council & a member of FICCI & CII committees.

His documentary film won the 'Desmond Doig Award' for the best graduation film & his science fiction short on nuclear war 'Killing a sunrise on a full moon night' was awarded the highest marks for script writing & direction. Dr. Lall additionally attended advanced courses in entertainment studies at UCLA.
In 2019, Dr. Lall was bestowed with the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, (Ph.D.) by the Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi, India.
