Mary Huckstep
- Script and Continuity Department
- Writer
- Producer
A former AP English teacher and freelance writer, Mary earned her MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA in 2004. Since then, she's won enough screenwriting awards to wallpaper two bathrooms and cram her mantle piece with dazzling hardware. She also spent six years as Head of Development for a small production company where she helped develop scripts for MCFARLAND, USA with Disney, FIRELIGHT with Hallmark Hall of Fame, and ABDUCTED: THE CARLINA WHITE STORY and THE BLUE-EYED BUTCHER at Lifetime.
Meanwhile, Mary and her hubby, old Hunk, raised five kids, assorted neighborhood kids, three dogs, two cats, various reptiles, rodents galore, a boatload of fish, brain coral, and a Mexican tarantula named Mad Max. It's been kinda crazy. But their drug of choice has always been laughter.
In 2014, Mary turned her talents to penning her first book: MARY MARY QUITE: On Raising Children (and other mind-altering substances). Mary collaborated with Denver artist, David Condry, on 22 illustrations, copious variations on the cover art, and several versions of the MMQ logo. In 2015, MMQ won seven international book awards.
