- Shannon Marie Moran is an American Film and VFX editor. Born in Tacoma Washington. She grew up on military bases most of her childhood and teenage years moving to various states. She attended Leavenworth high school in Leavenworth Kansas where she was active is choir and drama classes. After graduating Shannon studied musical theatre at Coffeyville Community College. It was during this time she developed a keen interest in film editing combining her skills of computers, music and performance. In 2006 she moved to Denver Colorado to further her education in post production and worked for the TV company High Noon Entertainment. Shannon moved to London, England in 2010 and attended the Met Film School located at the historic Ealing Studios where she studied visual effects and animation. Since 2013 she has worked for major VFX houses including Framestore and Moving Picture Company where she worked on the Oscar winning film the Jungle Book and other high profile studio films as a VFX editor. - Never saw herself as a filmmaker. It was more her brother that wanted to be a film director when they were growing up. She wanted to instead be a musician, but when both Shannon and her brother Patrick were in high school/ early college they switched roles and Patrick became the musician, and Shannon became the filmmaker.
