Rahul Nambiar has a BFA [Bachelor of Fine Arts] from M S University of
Baroda with a specialization in painting and pottery, has always been
interested in 3D space, installations and animation.
He moved to Hyderabad at the turn of the millennium and founded Firefly Creative Studio Pvt. Ltd. along with few friends in 2001. He did SFX for films like Chiranjeevi's Anji, Indra, Samba, Chatrapati, and Sekhar Kammula's Godavari.
In 2004-05, he directed various shorts 'it's all about timing' and 'my beautiful I's' expanding his creative spectrum. In 2006, he teamed up with Shyam Prasad Reddy as a Visual Effects Supervisor for the feature film Arundathi and soon became the next Director along with Kodi Ramakrishna for the same feature.
In 2007, he founded Ticklebug as a production house and completed Arundathi as second Director in 2009. Rahul is the man behind 'Jejamma' song, Sonu Sood's Pashupathi character and various other extra ordinary sequences in the film. In short, he is also the reason why term "Bommalli" is so popular in Andhra Pradesh.
Immediate after Arundathi, in 2010, he directed 'Talk to them', a fundraiser film for the Lepra Society, an India and UK based NGO group for spreading awareness on HIV. The documentary has won critical acclaim and appreciation worldwide.
