Robin Rose Singer is a writer, director, and producer. She was a 2020 Academy Nicholl Finalist for her script The Lions of Mesopotamia and honored on the 2021 Wscripted inaugural Cannes list of 25 women screenwriters to watch, 2020 Blacklist Recommends, 2019 Tracking Board Recommends, and on the 2019 Hit List.
Singer wrote and directed (with Rabia Sultana) one of two shorts supported by Google in an initiative organized by the Producer's Guild as part of the 2022 PGA Create Lab and Fellowship, which is also supporting the development of her thriller set in Panama, Mala Sangre.
Recent projects include: Angelfish (first feature for rapper Princess Nokia, 2020 TIFF Next Wave), "Interference" (NBC Universal Film Festival/BAM Cinematek); "Aphasia" (Tribeca Film Festival); Maturity (Winner, IFP Made in NY: Series Competition; Winner, Gold Telly for Music and Bronze Telly for Comedy), "Home Street Home" (Winner Best Short Doc, Harlem Film Festival).
NY Stage and Film Screenwriting fellow. Singer is also known for directing and producing commercials.
