Judith Westermann is a writer and director for television and film.
In 2021, Judith completed her first feature film as a director for prime time German television. Previously, she had written several screenplays which were made into prime time television features, such as the comedy "Catch of the Day" which held its premiere at the prestigious Hamburg Film Festival, or the music drama "Nur mit dir zusammen" featuring renowned performer Vanessa Mai alongside "Tatort"-icon Axel Prahl.
In 2017, Judith wrote and directed the short film "Celebrate Eileen!", a tragic comedy which was invited to many international festivals worldwide, winning several awards, including "Blaue Blume Award" at the Berlin Film Festival 2019, Best Student Short at Kashish Mumbai Queer International Film Festival, Best Director and Script at the London Umbrella Festival and Best Short at the Porto Femme International Film Festival.
Judith studied both directing and producing at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF München). She also attended the Universidad del Cine Buenos Aires for one year.
