Chris Damadyan
- Editor
- Visual Effects
- Director
Born in Burbank California, Chris was raised in the heart of
the film industry. Growing up in the studio where his father was an
executive producer, Chris would often sit next to the editors for hours
watching and learning how movies, music videos, and commercials came
together. At the age of 8 he picked up a camera and started shooting
his first film, a short movie about the investigation of a dead cat
entitled "Kit Cat". This passion for Film Making stuck with Chris, and
it became apparent that he would follow his fathers legacy in the
Industry. Chris enrolled into Film School right out of High School and
was accepted to a private institute where he would major in Editing.
Towards the end of his first year at film school Chris had an accident
in which he suffered major injuries and underwent surgery, putting him
out of school for a little over 2 months as he recovered. At the start
of the school year in 2008 Chris was readmitted but was placed in a
different class. A few weeks before graduating in 2009 Chris got hired
at a international television network as a intern using the thesis
films he was editing as his reel. Soon after his graduation he was
hired as a full time editor at the same station and has gone on to edit
numerous episodes for hour long dramas, sitcoms, and reality shows.
Aside from this he has also directed and edited over 40 short films,
music videos, and commercials in the short span of 2 years.
