Stacey Maltin (she/her) is an award-winning filmmaker and performer. Through her work, she strives to show that humanity is nuanced and empathy is universal. Stacey directed, wrote, and starred in the feature film Triple Threat which, after winning several awards on the festival circuit, was distributed by Peacock in 2023. For her work as Director on Triple Threat, she received the top prize from Film Threat Award This, which came with a 10k post-production grant for her next film at Sugar Studios in Los Angeles. She directed the mini-series MASHED which won best series at Series Fest, Hollyshorts, & Nashville Film Festival, among others. The series, a tender, raunchy, queer, look at female pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction received multiple grants for production, including from Gabrielle Tiven's Vagina Collective.
She has made numerous short films which have premiered at prestigious film festivals including Newfest, Hollyshorts, Dances with Films, and Oscar qualifying Cinequest. She most recently wrapped production as Director on the musical drama film Malka, starring Tovah Feldshuh.
In addition to her work as a director, she has produced several feature films and runs narrative production company Besties Make Movies as well as commercial production company WIWU Productions.
She is represented by Navigation Media and is a proud member of Film Fatales & The Filmshop.
