Shuo Z. Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan.
He studied at The Ohio State University and graduated in 2004. He started off with an interest in the arts by dabbling in cartooning and computers and editing. He studied in The Ohio State University college of nursing major before deciding to pursue a side career in film and arts.
He lives in Cincinnati and does finance and accounting work during the day with film and acting work at night.
Shuo Z. Chen's favorite classes in high school were English and Orchestra.
Shuo once sustained an ankle sprain from jumping 5-6 feet onto a wood gymnasium floor compounded from several months of aikido and running.
Shuo took eight years of violin and can be heard squeaking out a small tune in the end credits of #AwkwardDates.
Miles Ahead was the first film Shuo did after taking a rest from acting for a few years.
Between the filming of Joy, Shuo's car got totaled and he is only seen in a few scenes. Car troubles also prevented Shuo from making the big bonfire scene for Finale.
