Director, writer and creative director Richard Gorodecky learnt his craft as a storyteller working in advertising. His commercial work has earned over sixty industry awards including a Gold Lion at Cannes. It has been featured in numerous books and publications and is part of the permanent collection of The Museum Of Art And Craft in Hamburg.
In 2015 Richard wrote and directed the short film - The River Man. It tells the fated love story between a man and a river. Finalist for the Grand Prix and Best Documentary at Academy Award qualifying Cork Film Festival, a finalist for Best Short Documentary at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, and winner of Best Short Documentary at Lift-Off Film Festival in Amsterdam and Sydney. When the film premiered on RTE it received the unprecedented accolade (for a short film) of Critics Choice in The Sunday Times newspaper.
In 2016 Richard wrote and directed the drama - Little Shit. The film tells the story of a lost child's journey to discover his and London's hidden nature. Little Shit won Best British Film at The London Short Film Festival, Best Visuals at London Independent Film Festival, Nominated for Best British/Irish Short Film at the London Critics Circle and was in the official selection of over fifteen festivals including Aesthetica Film Festival, Brussels Short Film Festival and Norwich Film Festival.
