“Hogan’s Heroes” is the latest classic TV series seeking the reboot treatment, with a sequel series from original series co-creator Al Ruddy in the works.
The new single-camera comedy would be set in present-day and would center on the descendants of the original characters as they team up for a global treasure hunt. No writer or network is currently attached to the project.
Ruddy will serve as an executive producer on the project, alongside “Vice Principals” trio Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Jody Hill. Brandon James of Rough House Pictures and Alix Jaffe and Adam Dunlap of Village Roadshow will also executive produce.

A television adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s memoir “A Moveable Feast” is in the works at Village Roadshow Entertainment Group with Hemingway’s granddaughter Mariel Hemingway, John Goldstone and Marc Rosen set to produce the series, the company said Tuesday.
Like the memoir, first published in 1964, the series will follow the famed author’s years as a poor but ambitious young expat journalist and writer in Paris in the 1920s. It will detail his apprenticeship as a young writer as well as his first marriage, to Hadley Richardson.

Village Roadshow Entertainment Group said Wednesday it hired former Mrc chief financial officer Louis Santor as chief operating officer and that it is launching a film and TV production division to be headed by Shannon Perry, the former Embassy Row exec who becomes Svp Reality and Production Services and will oversee the launch of an unscripted slate. Vreg, a producer-financier, also has hired Adam Dunlap, who will become VP Television Development.
Santor, Perry and Dunlap will report to Mosko, the former Sony Pictures TV boss who continues to set his team after being hired as CEO in October.
