Ask any fan of horror and they will tell you that to be a horror fan transcends mere love of the genre. Horror goes beyond the content of the films, it’s a community. Horror has its own rules and tropes that are gospel to those that speak the language of the films. For horror fans, there is a rite of passage and a ritual to knowing certain films by heart and recognizing titans of the both the films and the broader world surrounding them. Scare Package understands this and delivers a perfectly packaged film as a gift to the community and fans of horror everywhere.
Scare Package is the creation of Aaron B. Koontz (Camera Obscura) & Cameron Burns. The film is an anthology of short horror segments that are brilliantly woven into a larger, overarching story. Seven directors flex their horror skills and enjoy a playground of tropes and twists,...

Shudder’s upcoming Scare Package is a love-letter to genre obsessions inked in blood by horror-loving filmmakers. Any anthology comes with ups and downs, but thankfully the “ups” here swing bigger than expected. Seven directors submit a collection of meta-spoofy spooks which share a collective heart that is forever in the right place. The bigger the horror fan, the harder the jokes land as recognizable structures or archetypes are roasted over an open flame. Press Release: – IFC Midnight announced today it is acquiring U.S. distribution rights to Emma Tammi’s narrative feature film The Wind produced by Soapbox Films and Divide/Conquer.
