The CW announced a new docuseries titled “March,” which will explore Hbcu band culture. The series will premiere on Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. before moving to a Sunday 9 p.m. timeslot on Feb. 27.
With eight parts, “March” focuses on The Marching Storm, the prestigious marching band at Prairie View A&m University, following how the students balance the pressure of band and academics at once. The series is from Stage 13. Executive producers include Cheryl Horner McDonough, Jamail Shelton, Shari Scorca and Marcel Fuentes.

On the heels of All American spinoff Homecoming, the CW has ordered its second series set against the Hbcu experience. The network has greenlighted March, an eight-episode series which revolves around the Prairie View A&m University Marching Band, The Marching Storm, recently ranked as the top Hbcu Division I band by ESPN’s The Undefeated.
March debuts Monday, January 24 (8-9 pm Et/Pt). It then moves to Sundays starting February 27 (9-10 pm Et/Pt), after All American and All American: Homecoming take over Monday nights. Elaine Chin is swapping Participant Media for Two Sentence Horror Stories producer Stage 13.
Chin, who was previously SVP, Narrative Film at Participant, is joining the Warner Bros-owned studio as SVP, Head of Scripted Content. She will head up the company’s scripted creative team and oversee its slate of development projects and original productions in short-form, half-hour and one-hour episodic, and feature formats.
At Participant, she worked on Just Mercy, Justin Lin’s Abacus and Interior Chinatown, from writer Charles Yu, which is now in development as a series at Hulu.
Prior to Participant, she VP, Production-China at Walt Disney Studios, where she launched the studio’s local-language production initiative for the China market and produced a Mandarin-language remake of Touchstone Pictures’ While You Were Sleeping. Stage 13 content studio, part of the Warner Bros. Digital Networks, has launched #stage13supports, a campaign to recognize Asian restaurants and small businesses through its original unscripted Asian cuisine and travel series Family Style.
The series showcases a diverse array of Asian chefs, restaurateurs, and foodies across multiple generations. The campaign encourages ordering to-go from Asian restaurants, as well as urges viewers to share their Family Style moments during the stay-at-home orders to create a safe community. The goal is to not only support Asian-owned restaurants and its patrons, but also to open communications to connect and stand together.
Stage 13 will be posting daily clips of restaurants featured in the series.

Warner Bros. Television’s Christopher Mack is joining Stage 13 as senior vice president of scripted content and Shari Scorca leading the unscripted creative team as Vice President of Unscripted Content. They’ll report to Diana Mogollón, Stage 13’s general manager.
“Chris and Shari bring a wealth of impressive skills, custom-made for Stage 13’s digital-native, story-first Gen Z/Millennial brand,” Mogollón said in a statement.
