Sylvester Stallone gets off his rocking chair to put an end to death in the first Rambo: Last Blood trailer.
Death is coming and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. John Rambo, who Sylvester Stallone discovered in the 1972 novel First Blood by David Morrell, has "lived in a world of death," and Rambo V intends to put an end to it. Rambo: Last Blood will be the fifth and final movie in the franchise and the trailer shows the military veteran is going out with a bang.
We last saw Stallone's John Rambo in 2008. He's gone from soldier to cowboy, living peacefully in a happy retirement since his last dispatches. "Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission," reads the official synopsis. "A deadly journey of vengeance."

Since the start of 2019, Sylvester Stallone has been hopping on Instagram on a fairly regular basis to bring us tantalizing looks at the upcoming Rambo V: Last Blood, with the intention being that each set of photos will tease a bit more of the story. So far, these pics have largely covered the peaceful opening stretch of the film, when John Rambo will be trying to live a quiet life on an Arizona ranch, but now, it looks like Stallone – and the studio – are finally ready to give us a real taste of the action to come.
After leaking online earlier this week, we now have the first official trailer for Last Blood, and it promises a gritty, dark and, of course, bloody affair for the grizzled hero. Being just the initial preview for the sequel, it doesn’t give us a whole lot, but along with a look at a much older Rambo,...

Since the start of this year, Sylvester Stallone has been taking to Instagram on a regular basis to share images from the upcoming Rambo V: Last Blood, with the intention being that each set of photos will show the next part of the story. So far, these pics have largely covered the peaceful opening stretch of the picture, when John Rambo is still living a quiet life on an Arizona ranch, but going by this latest post, it seems that Stallone is finally ready to give us a taste of the action to come.
In what the actor admits to be “a very dangerous picture,” Rambo can be seen covered in blood and readying his bow to strike. If previous pics are anything to go by, then the fifth and purportedly final installment in the long-running action series will see Stallone wielding a diverse array of weaponry, from John’s...

Though Sylvester Stallone has already shared a generous number of set photos from the upcoming Rambo V: Last Blood, the cowriter and star of John Rambo’s fifth and purportedly final outing hasn’t been so quick to announce a release date. But after a surprisingly long wait, it seems that Lionsgate is finally ready to let us know that the Adrian Grunberg-helmed action film is headed for theaters on September 20th, 2019.
This means we still have almost seven months to go until the decades-spanning series releases its first installment since 2008’s Rambo. In the meantime, you can expect Stallone’s Instagram to remain a consistent source of material from the movie. As stated by the man himself last month, the star is currently in the process of releasing a series of black-and-white set pics that will allow audiences to follow along with the story, and so far, the...

In the opening stretch of Rambo V: Last Blood, Sylvester Stallone’s title character will be living a quiet life on an Arizona ranch, and in a new batch of photos posted to the actor’s Instagram, we see the action star looking pretty content in this rural setting alongside a couple of series newcomers.
In Stallone’s own words, the pics show John Rambo opposite his “adopted” family, consisting of Adriana Barraza as Maria and Yvette Monreal as Gabrielle. Stallone also describes the pair as “The people [Rambo] loves and lives to protect,” which sounds pretty ominous when you consider which series we’re talking about here.
