The 100 is coming to an end with its upcoming seventh season.
The CW is bringing the post-apocalyptic drama to a conclusion after renewing the Jason Rothberg-developed series for a seventh season earlier this year.
The announcement was made by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW at the TCA summer press tour. He said that Rothberg had always wanted to end The 100 after the seventh season and that has a number of ideas that he wants to develop. “We’ve been very good at listening to our showrunner creators about the right time to end our series,” he said.
Season 7 will consist of 16 episodes, bringing the series run to 100 episodes.

"Who are all these people?" Nothing like a funny short film set in a romantic city to brighten up your day! Ciao Lola is a short comedy made by producer / filmmaker Oscar Boyson, running only six minutes in total. It was filmed in Venice back in 2016, and is now available to watch online. The short stars Jane Levy as Lola and Thomas McDonell as Peter, a couple visiting the gorgeous Italian city. There's some unexplained subtext to this that isn't implicit, but you'll figure it out as it goes along. I like the playfulness of this, and all the lovely shots of Venice. Enjoy! Original description from Vimeo: "I made this short film in Venice in August of 2016." A guy tries to keep up with his girlfriend who clearly adjusted too well in the city. Last season, The 100 was one of the few new CW shows to be renewed. Will it continue to do well in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned!
The 100 follows a group of young people who are sent back to Earth nearly 100 years after a nuclear Armageddon destroyed civilization. The cast includes Eliza Taylor, Bobby Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Thomas McDonell, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Paige Turco, Henry Ian Cusick, Isaiah Washington, Eli Goree, Lindsey Morgan, and Ricky Whittle.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest. (more…)...

There’s a lot of places that The 100 could have taken the story after killing off Finn (Thomas McDonell) in the mid-season finale last month (besides scoring a third season). Even after all this time, it’s still a little hard to believe that the writers actually wrote one of the main characters off of the show – but frankly, it was about time. Finn started off as a solid character but over time moved further and further into the gratuitous zone until he finally just lost it a few episodes back.
His romantic interest turned unhealthy obsession with Clarke (Eliza Taylor) pushed him over the deep end and put everyone he cared about in jeopardy. As if they didn’t have enough outside threats, having to worry about one of their own lost its appeal rather quickly. Even though losing him is clearly going to have a lasting impact...

[Warning: Spoilers ahead from Wednesday's winter finale of The 100.]
Did that just happen?
The 100 said goodbye to one of its main characters in Wednesday’s heartwrenching winter finale – and boy, was it emotional.
For much of the episode, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Co. attempted to find a way to spare Finn (Thomas McDonell), who was wanted for killing more than a dozen Grounders. Clarke never found a feasible Plan B. Instead of letting the Grounders have their way with Finn, she was the one who made the fatal cut –killing him with one stab of the knife in the abdomen.

“We were trying to figure out the most emotionally impactful way to do it,” The 100 executive producer Jason Rothenberg told ETonline. “Part of the reason that it hit so hard and worked so well was because it happens in the same episode where we do flashbacks that tell you how much of a great guy [Finn] is.”

The CW’s The 100 Fog of War TV Show Review. The 100: Season 2, Episode 6: ‘Fog of War,’ hedged its bets, with a literal spin on its title, at one point; but still managed to get enough figurative mileage off the phrase. First & foremost, Finn (Thomas McDonell), was [...]

The 100 Review: “Human Trials” (Season 2, Episode 5) 1 of 5

Transformers
Lorem ipsum 1 of 5
The 100 is one of those shows that just keeps getting better. Another episode in the books, and the writers haven’t slowed down at all. The characters are still evolving, the story is still unfolding, and, with or without adult interference, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her crew are still doing whatever needs to be done.
Most of the main characters made it through season one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Finn (Thomas McDonell) became collateral damage in season two. His voracious appetite for revenge against anyone who he imagines up being involved in whatever happened to Clarke definitely seems to be undoing any sense of logic he may have possessed. Losing Clarke was the breaking point for his character. With the exception of his showboat behavior in the pilot, Finn has been...

Things aren't getting any better on The 100.
The CW's hair-raising post-apocalyptic drama isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in its sophomore run, and in ETonline's first look at tonight's episode, Finn (Thomas McDonell) is starting to show signs of becoming a killing machine. Yikes!
News: You'll Never Guess Who's Teaming Up on 'The 100'!
In the clip, he and Murphy (Richard Harmon) stake out a Grounders base camp where Finn believes Clarke is still being held and in need of rescuing – a dangerous assumption considering he’s 100 percent wrong. When Murphy, of all people, suggests that Finn may not be thinking straight -- "These people don’t look like warriors!" -- and alludes to the possibility that Clarke may be dead, Finn has an extremely violent reaction to even the thought of his friend perishing.

It was life or death on tonight’s episode of The 100, but then again, when is it not?
Clarke (Eliza Taylor) continued to follow her instincts, even though they go against popular opinion, and she’s uncovered a rather unfriendly aspect of the Mountain Men. It isn’t surprising that Wallace (Raymond J. Barry) is keeping a lot of the more delicate information to himself. The fact that there is ongoing scientific research being conducted inside the secure mountain base lends itself to the story that the writers are telling. As the show begins to examine more of the evolutionary pitfalls of the group of people housed within Mount Whethers, it only makes sense that the revelation of just how far these people will go to survive will become increasingly evident.

Once college is over, can you apply the same free-spirited lifestyle to the responsibilities that come with adult life? That's what director Jon Goracy explores in the upcoming dramedy "I'm Obsessed With You (But You've Got To Leave Me Alone)," and today we have the exclusive trailer for the film. Starring Mannish Dayal ("The Hundred-Foot Journey"), Thomas McDonell ("The 100"), Rachel Brosnahan ("House of Cards," "Olive Kitteridge"), Genevieve Adams (who wrote the screenplay) and Jason Ralph ("A Most Violent Year"), the story follows four collegiate comedians who are forced to face their lives when a movie star crashes their party. Addiction, anxiety, love, and fleeting fame come to the surface for all involved as they try to pursue an unconventional life. "'I'm Obsessed With You (But You've Got To leave Me Alone)' is a movie about falling in love with your friends," Adams told us. "I was surrounded...

Clarke remains trapped in a dystopian underground society in this week's entertainingly chaotic episode of The 100...
This review contains spoilers.
2.2 Inclement Weather
There are currently four camps on The 100 – Mount Weather, the grounders, the hundred/adults and, now, wherever the heck Jaha has landed himself. While season one of the show was effective in its own Lord Of The Flies kind of way, pushing the characters together in a pressure cooker and watching them break and corrupt each other, this season has benefitted hugely from shaking things up.
Clarke’s separation from the group, for example, could have easily been about finding her way back to Finn and Bellamy, and in a way it is, but it’s also about her own immutable distrust and curiosity and a determination to get out of Mount Weather and help her friends. She’s still their leader, even if she’s...

If the point of this episode was to prove that adults just muck things up, then mission accomplished. The season 2 premiere of The 100 re-introduces the remaining members of the 100 (just about half of the original number) to the concept of adult interference – in a major way. Whether you’re talking about a character who was “saved” by the mountain men, or just one of the lucky few that escaped the blast, things didn’t really go their way in “The 48″ – unless you’re Jasper (Devon Bostick), who got both chocolate cake and a love interest, in a single scene.
The adults from The Ark didn’t have any problem sacrificing these teenagers in the interest of their own survival, but now that they were forced down to Earth earlier than scheduled, they’ve apparently changed their tune. Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) has been on Earth for all of five...

A new one-sheet for Christian E. Christiansen's new demonic thriller 'The Devil's Hand' (previously known as 'Where the Devil Hides') has emerged. It's a tad uninspired I'm afraid to report and unfortunately has to rely on oversized text to give it some impact. It does however feature a number of the main cast members that includes Alycia Debnam Carey, Adelaide Kane (below) and Leah Pipes. Director Christiansen, who directed the Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly 'Single White Female' styled thriller 'The Roommate', helms from a script penned by Karl Mueller. Rufus Sewell, Thomas McDonell, Jim McKeny, Katie Garfield, Ric Reitz and former 'Dexter' actress Jennifer Carpenter also star. Check out the poster below....

To mark The 100's arrival in the UK, Caroline talks to Thomas McDonell, the actor behind Finn...
Interview
Thomas McDonell plays handsome, floppy-haired rebel Finn in hit Us series The 100, which is due to return for a second season next year. As The 100 starts on E4, Caroline caught up with the actor to talk season one, Finn's role in the ensemble, and more. (Before we start, a gentle warning for the faint-hearted, Mr McDonell's language is tinged blue at points below...)
Congratulations on the show’s success in America, which has been huge – how have you found the reaction both here with the buzz that’s been building and in the Us where audiences have already cottoned on to it?
Well, it’s pretty fun that people really seem to like it, and interesting that people are really watching it, following it and paying attention. I think that’s all really cool.

In a neat bit of synergy, E4 is premiering its new Us import The 100 on the same day - July 7 - that the show's cast start filming on a second season. Already an established success in the States, where it pulled in strong numbers for teen-oriented network The CW, the dystopian drama is something of a sci-fi take on Lord of the Flies.
"It's split between space and Earth - so you get that sci-fi hit," says Eliza Taylor, the former Neighbours star now cast as series lead Clarke Griffin. "And then you also get more of a Lost, Lord of the Flies vibe."
Set in the aftermath of a nuclear war, The 100 follows a centuria of adolescents returned to an inhospitable planet Earth - including Taylor's compassionate Clarke and Thomas McDonell's reckless Finn.
The show's pilot episode was the most-watched show in its time-slot on The CW for four years,...
