Patrick J. Adams took to social media to apologize for sharing Suits throwback photos amid the ongoing actors strike.
Earlier this week, the actor, who played Mike Ross, was reminiscing on his time in the legal drama by sharing photos with several of his former co-stars, including Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and more.
Adams has since deleted the posts and wrote on his Instagram Stories, “The last couple of days I foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract me from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in @sagaftra continues to wage in its effort to win our membership realistic 21st Century compensation and protections.”
The performers’ union SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14 after contract negotiations faltered with studios and streamers. During the strike, union members are not allowed to promote any projects under SAG-AFTRA’s contract.

“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams apologized Wednesday for incidentally crossing the SAG-AFTRA picket line and sharing photos of his time on the series earlier in the week.
The throwback behind-the-scenes shots of the now-deleted Instagram post were captioned, “I miss my friends. Each and every one of them,” and featured costars Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Max Topplin and Gina Torres.
In his apology, Adams said that posting the images during the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike was an “embarrassing oversight” and he appreciates those who “gently and swiftly course corrected me here.”

Michael Nader wrote the script for one of the more interesting and overlooked monster films of the last couple of years, Head Count. Now he’s back with The Toll, which he not only wrote but is the first feature he’s directed after several shorts.
The Toll is the latest entry in the “ride share from hell” genre that includes the likes of Spree, Ryde and Driven. And like the last of those films, this one has a supernatural edge to it that separates it from the majority of these films which rely exclusively on all to human monsters.

"There's no one here!" Saban Films has released an official trailer for the indie supernatural horror film The Toll, heading straight-to-vod in March this year. This was originally to premiere at last year's SXSW Film Festival before it was cancelled. Described as "supernatural terror and spine-tingling suspense", this is one of the latest "ride-sharing horror thriller" films, but not in the usual way as things get creepy only once they arrive. A socially awkward driver and a weary passenger they try to make it to their destination while being haunted by a supernatural threat. By the end of this trailer it's obvious they end up trapped somewhere else. The main cast includes Jordan Hayes, Max Topplin, James McGowan, and Rosemary Dunsmore. This looks a bit strange overall and low quality, but perhaps it has frightening moments. Full trailer below. Here's the first official trailer (+ posters) for Michael Nader's The Toll,...

Maddie Hasson and Genesis Rodriguez have signed on to star in “Fixation,” a female-driven psychological thriller from director Mercedes Bryce Morgan.
Hasson stars as Dora, a young woman at the center of an unusual murder trial. As the film progresses, Dora is subjected to a psychiatric evaluation, and as the tests become more personal — and frightening — she begins to question the true motives of her doctor and is forced to live through the recreations of her past.
The description of the project explains that the story is intended to be an exploration of how women are gaslit by men in positions of power and boasts a predominantly female, LGBTQ and Bipoc crew, both in front of and behind the camera, led by Morgan — a queer, Latina filmmaker.
Best known for directing “Stargate Origins,” the Facebook series “Five Points” and music videos like Marshmello and Bastille’s “Happier,” Morgan makes her...

A rideshare with a giggly geek driver who may be a serial killer. The staggering-through-the-ink-black-woods-with-nothing-but-a-flashlight look and mood of “The Blair Witch Project.” A mystic schlock demon like Candyman, the Slender Man, or the spectral figures from “The Strangers.” A Victrola in the middle of the road, cranking an ancient warbly ditty à la “The Shining.” A cabin full of snowy TV screens out of the “Poltergeist” showroom. Memories of suicide, filicide, and a rape where the victim was blamed…
Each of these elements, ably handled, might exude a concrete scary resonance. But what are they all doing in the same horror movie? You could say that Michael Nader, the writer-director of “The Toll,” jams them together in an original way, striking just the right note of disquieting genre mashup to keep the audience pleasingly off balance. Or you could say that he’s cooked up a low-budget casserole out...

Originally slated to premiere this month at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival, The Toll from writer/director Michael Nader was able to enjoy a virtual premiere on Sunday night, allowing indie genre fans the opportunity to get to see the film despite everything going on in the world right now. And as a whole, The Toll proved itself to be a pretty darned good psychological thriller, although it doesn’t nearly end quite as strongly as it starts.
The story in The Toll is pretty straightforward stuff: a young woman named Cami (Jordan Hayes) has just spent a long day traveling, and gets a ride share to take her from the airport to her dad’s house out in the middle of nowhere. Her driver, Spencer (Max Topplin), is a bit of a Chatty Cathy, with some of his jokes not quite landing the right way with Cami, but once they...

When I sat down to watch Devil in the Woods I suddenly had a case of déjà vu because I’ve seen this movie before. I’m confused as to why The Barrens has been released as Devil in the Woods, probably the most confusing part is I’d watched it on VOD as The Barrens in the UK. It’s only a small detail anyway, as Devil in the Woods (as I will call it for this review) is a film worth seeing.

I bet you’ve been expecting a Kimberly Pierce‘s Carrie trailer announced yesterday anxiously, am I right? Well, here it is, as creepy but not as bloody as I expected, but I guess – or hope – they’ve saved the best for the movie (unlike some – we won’t mention them but we all know which ones they are – which put their best into trailer and the movie itself ends up being a mild disappointment, at best). Life is rough at Pearson Hardman.
Clients are losing confidence. Associates are jumping ship. Harvey and Louis aren't acting like beloved Warner Bros. cartoon characters. Fortunately, the brilliant wordplay of "Suits" is enough to keep the audience loyal. Relive "Blood in the Water" with those words.
Mike (Patrick J. Adams) begins the episode by vacuuming up his pot (is that really the best way to do that?). But it's not enough. Harvey (Gabriel Macht) had a bad meeting with an unsatisfied client. Not even morning ice cream from Donna (Sarah Rafferty) can fix this.

Bananas are part of a healthy breakfast. And who cares about bananas? It has chocolate. You caught me -- I don't even eat the bananas.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I do believe director Kimberly Peirce is going for a “bloody” + “teenage girl” motif in the promotional materials for her upcoming remake of Brian DePalma’s “Carrie”, based on the novel of the same name by prolific horror author Stephen King. Gee, I wonder what all the blood has to do with growing up as a teenage girl… Anyways, here’s a new poster for “Carrie” (above), which according to reports, has now been moved from its March 15th, 2013 opening to a much friendlier October 18th, 2013 spot. This is unconfirmed by the studio, and the poster even still mentions the March opening date. Though I suppose it makes sense to send a teen drama/horror movie away from the very, very dangerous Summer schedule, filled with big-budget comic book movies and kid-friendly actioners. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer,...

Now I’ve never read the Stephen King book that Kimberly Peirce’s upcoming “Carrie” reboot is based on, but was it as apocalyptic as this first teaser trailer for the film seems to be hinting at? Maybe apocalyptic is not the right word. How about … townpocalyptic? Cause it sure looks like little Carrie burns down the entire town with her groovy powers post-prom night. Anyways, check out the first very cool teaser trailer for “Carrie”, people who enjoy checking out movies about pissed off teenagers with crazy, supernatural powers. You probably know the plot of the movie by now, but in case you don’t: A sheltered high school girl unleashes her newly developed telekinetic powers after she is pushed too far by her peers. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Gabriella Wilde, Alex Russell, Max Topplin, Portia Doubleday, Cynthia Preston, Connor Price, and setting the town...

*here be spoilers. Director/writer: Darren Lynn Bousman. Cast: Stephen Moyer, Mia Kirshner, Allie MacDonald, Erik Knudsen, Max Topplin, Demore Barnes and J. Larose. Director Darren Lynn Bousman has spent some time in horror and film in general. He directed Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV and the musical Repo! The Genetic Opera. His supernatural title 11-11-11 was hit and miss with both viewers and critics. Now, his latest, The Barrens, also shoots wide of its mark. Monotonous through sixty plus minutes, this film does not find its legs until late into its runtime. Only Stephen Moyer's ("True Blood") performance as Richard is worth mentioning in this very lukewarm psychological drama. The story begins with the Vineyard family heading out into the New Jersey wilderness for relaxation and fun times. The campgrounds are overpopulated, so dad takes his two kids and new wife deeper into the woods. Something is waiting for them there,...

EW has your first two official looks at the upcoming “Carrie” remake, featuring its stars Chloe Moretz (as the titular Carrie) and Julianne Moore as her mother, the fanatical nutcase whackjob. (This is a movie based on a Stephen King book, after all; dude has never met a religious person who wasn’t a fanatical nutcase whackjob.) Well, I’ll give the producers of the film this — they sure aren’t working under the assumption that you don’t already know how “Carrie” will end, i.e. our little Carrie covered in pigs blood from head to toe as a result of her high school prom jaunt. Check out the two images below, check them outers. “Carrie” is a remake of Brian De Palma’s 1976 movie starring Sissy Spacek and John Travolta. Kimberly Peirce (“Boys Don’t Cry”) directs the remake, which is scheduled to freak you the hell out...

The Barrens is the latest terrifying thriller to be release by director Darren Lynn Bousman (Mother's Day) . In his latest, Bousman tackles the Jersey Devil, which has been described in many different ways. Often hooved and wearing wings, this creature of myth stalks a young family on a camping trip. But, an infection spreading through Richard's (Stephen Moyer) arm might be the cause of hallucinations and violence. Have a look at the first trailer for The Barrens and try to spot the Jersey Devil in waist high grass. Is that a trick of the light, or something more sinister? Television is never about just one or two characters; it is about the ensemble they work amongst to bring the stories to life each week and to give their fictional worlds a depth in their reality. Recognizing that an established law firm like Pearson Hardman in Suits would not have a rotating staff of young attorneys, the show brought on as a recurring actor, Max Topplin, who plays the long-suffering, yet hilarious new associate Harold. During a recent visit to the Toronto-based set of Suits, Max described who Harold is and how he fits into the Pearson Hardman hierarchy.
On the Return of the Infamous Harold Hardman.
Max: I play an associate, Harold, at Pearson Hardman and I take a lot of abuse from Louis Litt. I see most people are having a tough time, but I take the most, definitely. So the character has grown kind of into the class clown of the office,...

The legendary Jersey Devil has been featured in several films from 2002's 13th Child to The Jersey Devil (2005) and a recent television movie with Lou Diamond Phillips titled Carny (2009). All of these films feature a strangely winged creature that looks like a left over from the Mesozoic era (dinosaurs). Now, this mythical creature will take flight in Darren Lynn Bousman's (Mother's Day) script for The Barrens.
In this latest incarnation, a family heads out into southern Jersey for some fun and camping. Instead, they find the remnants of The Jersey Devil's last meal and a horror filled night or two. Shooting on this film has only recently begun, but fans can have an early look at The Barrens with this concept poster (seen left). Also, a picture is hosted below of the supposed Jersey Devil and no, this film fan did not draw it.
Release Date: Fall 2012.
