- A musician, he was the main song writer of the band Crippers Band, an unsigned band in the Philippines which released an independent-produced album. He was a member of the band until he migrated to U.S. in 2002.
- Became an Internet sensation due to his original song "We're Brothers Forever" which he sang in the audition for the seventh season of American Idol (2002) in 2007.
- He wore a metallic silver cape which, he said, was inspired by Maximus character in Gladiator (2000).
- Regularly sang as a member of the Filipino Choir at Immaculate Conception Church in Reno, Nevada.
