To kick start the album we have Khalifa, sung by A.R. Rahman, Suzanne D’Mello, Shweta Pandit, Mahesh Vinayakram and Hriday Gattani. I like the techno elements to this song, which sounds like something which you would hear at a nightclub.

Youngistaan follows the life of Abhimanyu (Jackky Bhagnani of F.A.L.T.U fame) who unexpectedly finds himself in the political spotlight after the sudden death of his father, the Prime Minister of India (Boman Irani – 3 Idiots). The film has been in the media of late due to Bhagnani’s styling in the film being a dead ringer for Rahul Gandhi’s wardrobe, as well as being the last film featuring the late Farooque Shaikh. Moreover, Youngistaan also marks another notch in Bhagnani’s continuous attempts to carve a niche for himself in the industry.
The soundtrack features 4 songs, composed by Jeet Ganguly (Aashqui 2), Shiraz Uppal, Sneha Khanwalkar (Gangs of Wasseypur), Shree D and Ishq Bector (Besharam). Lyrics have been penned by Ahmad Afzal, Shakeel Sohail, Kausar Munir and Jackky Bhagnani.

The music of director Anand.L. Rai's movie "'Raanjhanaa" has eight tracks. Since the movie is based in Benaras, composer A.R. Rahman has included the regional flavour in most of the tracks. Use of a lot of instruments in all the songs is also evident.
The soundtrack kicks off with "Raanjhanaa", a high on energy number. Sung by Jaswinder Singh and Shiraz Uppal, it is not exactly a sugarcoated romantic number but its rhythmic beats make you tap your feet and you may put the.

Easily one of the most awaited films of the year, Raanjhanaa captured our interests from the unconventional pairing of Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush, and Abhay Deol and the earthy tones from A.R.Rahman’s songs. A.R.Rahman was so moved by the script of the film that he immediately agreed to sign up and do the background score for this love story, which can only mean good things for its prospects as an awaited summer movie. Raanjhanaa has been quite the lucky project for Rahman after the mixed reviews for his previous Hindi soundtracks for Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ekk Deewana Tha. Yet, if detractors have pointed to a slump in Rahman’s output, then this soundtrack firmly proves his...
