For decades, world hunger has been one of humanity’s most pressing issues. But one woman who grew up in Africa during an intense drought believes we can end hunger in just over a decade and allow a generation of starving children to dream.
“You don’t plan for the future because you’re not thinking about tomorrow—you are hungry that day and wondering where food is going to come from,” Edna Ogwangi, 45, tells People about living in Kenya as a child in the early 1980s. “That shatters the dreams you have. Disney Interactive is injecting Disney Infinity 3.0 with a little bit more light this month. In the run up to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the studio has released six limited-edition Star Wars Light FX figures to be used with their sandbox game. All of the characters wield lightsabers that light up once they are placed on the Disney Infinity Base. This new collectable range is made up of figures that have all been previously released in past playsets, including Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader from the Rise Against The Empire set and Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Twilight Of The Republic.
Each one of the six figures is exclusive to a particular retailer, meaning you will have to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt to get them all. Here is a full list of who is getting sold where in the Us, where the figures are already available.

We learned at D23 that The Force Awakens would have a playset coming to Disney Infinity 3.0 at some point, but this morning reveals when exactly you'll be able to pick it up, and our first look at the swanky figures you can buy for it.
Star Wars fans and gamers have been oogling the new Disney Infinity 3.0 figures since they were announced, and more are on the way. Next month brings another wave of them, including Darth Maul (my favorite) and other fan favorites. We've known since August that Finn and Rey would be coming to the game via a The Force Awakens playset, but today gives us a look at More Infinity figures. The Rey and Finn figures are the ones coming in the two-pack:

Marvel Battlegrounds will be the latest Play Set for Disney Infinity 3.0 and the first to introduce four-player co-op to the series, Disney Interactive has announced. Designed in the style of an arcade brawler, the set will feature a new plot line with all your favorite big screen Avengers.
In it, Loki is up to his old tricks and this time he has his eyes set on Asgard’s powerful Infinity Stone. Teaming up with Ultron, The God of Evil is mass producing robotic duplicates of Marvel’s finest to distract and turn them against one another. The game’s battles will take The Avengers from a wrecked Brooklyn train yard to Wakanda and even a S.H.I.E.L.D. Lunar Base, as they eventually take the fight to Ultron himself.

Although he chose not to start at the beginning, George Lucas got it right with the original Star Wars Trilogy. With those movies, he not only amazed and captivated people with a fantastic world, great storytelling and impressive special effects, but also delivered three incredibly memorable films. Whether you prefer Empire over Jedi, or happen to be someone who thinks that A New Hope is the best Star Wars movie out there, there’s no denying the quality of all three.
I regularly think back to the days when I introduced myself to Star Wars, by renting all three masterpieces on VHS. I was in grade five at the time, and would continually check them out from the local video store up until the day when I was able to purchase the boxed set myself. Polished new game mechanics and Star Wars playsets make 3.0 the Disney Infinity for gamers of all ages, it seems...
With its new, third iteration, Disney Infinity is making all the right moves. Not only have Disney introduced a dizzying array of Star Wars worlds, characters and hardware, they’ve roped in some proven video game developers to beef up the new instalment’s all-round video-gameness, making something that will be massively more appealing to older and more experienced players than either of the previous chapters. If Disney Infinity was just a kids’ game before - it wasn’t, but I’ve seen those arguments online - then 3.0 has been injected with enough core gamer mechanics to shake off the stigma for once and for all.
And none of this is at the expense of what was already working, and which has had me hooked on this so-called ‘platform’ for the last two years.

After a middling year full of Marvel’s most popular superheroes, Disney Infinity is getting ready to explore a galaxy far, far away with its Star Wars-focused 3.0 Edition. It’s a new game for a new year, and one that showed impressively while on E3 2015’s show floor.
Last year, I had a hard time recommending Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes to anyone but the diehards amongst us, as it was far from great. In fact, what should’ve been a step forwards following a great debut ended up being a notable step backwards. The wonder, whimsy and inventiveness that made us want to explore the original game was mostly missing, with a bland and repetitive beat ‘em up formula having taken its place. As such, it truly seemed as if Disney had lost its way a mere year after delivering a very solid and memorable Skylanders challenger.

Though it may have leaked ahead of time last week, Disney has formally unveiled the next chapter in its lucrative sandbox franchise via Game Informer as Disney Infinity 3.0, which will bring together faces old and new for another bout of pixelated action.
As fans of the series are well aware, Disney’s creative IP is all about the characters leading the battle charge, and the mainline attraction for 3.0 is the addition of Star Wars and its prized assets. Catering to both trilogies, the latest installment will launch with Twilight of the Republic later this year, focusing on the adventures of Anakin et al. post-Attack of the Clones. As for Rise Against the Empire, old-school Star Wars fans will be pleased to note that this story pack will bring back favorites such as Luke, Leia and Han. Characters can transition between trilogies, too, because continuity has no hold on the Disney Infinity universe.

What some people don’t realize is that video games take a long time to develop. Sure, some take quite a bit longer than others for various reasons — such as size or the need for a new engine – but these things don’t come about overnight. It generally takes years of planning, brainstorming and hard work to get most notable interactive experiences to us, which is something that isn’t recognized often enough, and is especially true in the case of Ubisoft Montreal’s Watch Dogs, a new intellectual property which has finally made its way to today’s most powerful devices after being in development for upwards of six years.
On the surface, Watch Dogs resembles a Grand Theft Auto-style experience. However, although it shares similarities with Rockstar’s iconic behemoth, Ubisoft’s latest gamble exists as its own beast. Yes, both series employ sandbox gameplay mechanics and free...

Punk rock may have began in the 1970s, but there was a revival in the 1990s that brought forth many new bands who have become the main influences for today’s artists. It was the heyday of Epitaph Records and Fat Wreck Chords, whose artists brought punk music to a wider audience by seeking originality, while at the same time keeping to the core values of the genre. They added a heavier, yet more melodic sound to the music. These bands gained widespread fame through soundtrack appearances on Tony Hawk video games, appearances on Warped Tour in the early years, and appearances on multiple cheap compilations (Fat Music, Punk-o-Rama, etc.). Bands such as Lagwagon, Rancid, and Strung Out have paved the way for today’s popular artists like the Menzingers, Rise Against, and Frank Turner, amongst many others.
Many of these bands haven’t released a proper full-length studio album since the early-mid 2000s,...

Ubisoft released the entire tracklist ahead of the October 22nd launch today and Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC gamers will be treated to the likes of Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Queen and The Police, among other top artists from the golden years of rock.
Ubisoft also announced that downloadable songs purchased for the first game will be compatible with Rocksmith 2014 Edition. There will also be the option to import the disc-based songs from the original Rocksmith to play in the new sequel, but there will be a nominal fee charged for the privilege.
Rocksmith 2014 Edition allows gamers to learn how to play a real guitar or bass guitar by plugging an instrument in to their gaming console. The game determines the skill level of the player and adjusts the difficulty of lessons accordingly.

Colt 45′s debut Ep sounds exactly what you’d think a debut Ep would sound like. Pretty okay. Here’s three guys just getting started and I think they’re off to a good one, but it’s clear there’s a lot of room for growth here.
The short 5 track album begins with an intro track, here “Think for Yourself…Question Authority”, which I’m always a fan of. Anyone who can begin an album with random sounds, guitars building, people muttering things in the background about society, and then launch into a solidly heavy track immediately afterward is a-okay in my book.
Now, are the actual tracks themselves any good?
“Everybody Will Let You Down” is the standout and comes at the right point. This endears you to the band considering it’s a fairly decent rock anthem and makes the rest of the Ep a little better.

Jason Segel and Drew Pearce have sold a feature film remake of last year's documentary "The Other F Word" to 20th Century Fox says Deadline.
Andrea Blaugrand Nevins' doco explored the world of aging punk rock musicians as they transition into fatherhood and try to maintain the contrast between their anti-authoritarian lifestyle with the responsibilities of being dads.
Blink-182′s Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, and Rise Against the Machine’s Tim McIlrath were all involved in the original.
Segel will star in this feature remake, and will co-write and executive produce with Pearce ("Iron Man 3," "Sherlock Holmes 3").

If The Other F Word sounds familiar to you, that's because it's already a movie title.
Deadline reports that Jason Segel and Drew Pearce are teaming up to bring the 2011 documentary about punk rockers who eventually become fathers (that's "the other F word" they're hinting at) to the big screen as a narrative feature. The original doc featured interviews with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as members of Rise Against and Blink-182, and told the rather ironic story of guys who raged against authority in their youth only to grow up and become the ultimate authority figure: a dad.
The collaboration between Segel and Pearce (who's co-writing Iron Man 3 as well as Godzilla and Sherlock Holmes 3) seems like a weird one considering their previous filmographies, but it should be interesting to see what kind of comedic situations they can mine from this material. Segel...

"We are the 99 percent!" call and answer Rise Against vocalist Tim McIlrath and System of a Down singer Serj Tankian with a crowd of like-minded Occupy protestors from Zuccotti Park and Liberty Square. That's the chorus for, not surprisingly, "We Are the 99 Percent," a new rock protest anthem from former Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
"I wanted to do a huge riff-rock anthem," Morello told Rolling Stone, which premiered the song on Thursday. "It would feel like the excitement of the global Occupy Wall Street movement."
Morello, McIlrath and Tankian teamed for the track just last week, after Morello was "re-energized" by the Occupy movement's one-year anniversary. Fans of Rage Against the Machine will immediately notice Morello's signature guitar sound, which could accurately be described as a boomerang being shot out of a cannon.

Comeback Kid? Misery Signals? Well its seems former members have collectively given birth to Lowtalker, a crash and collide of both bands but with a lighter more rhythmic style than what you would expect, while still keeping that raw power. Soon to release their second Ep The Marathon and with an upcoming tour across Canada and possibly even Us dates (fingers crossed) you better get your ears and wallets at the ready as you can expect big things since their sign onto No Sleep Records.
Released September 18th, The Marathon contains six tracks. Track one named Tension, a long-lasting sudden burst of energy coming from the rhythm and lead to break down to a heavy drum-singer combination. Having described in the previous paragraph Lowtalker’s big differentiation from the bands they previously came from, its certainly a breath of fresh air and Tension is a great example of this.

After two days of torrential rain and biting wind, to just about everyone’s surprise the last day of Download dawned with clear skies and a blazing sun. By evening, the only patch of mud to not have been baked away by England’s reliably idiosyncratic weather remained in front of the Zippo Encore stage – more commonly known as the “Second Stage” – and it was there I found myself ankle deep in the mire and surrounded by happy, sweaty, shoving folks who were all out to see the stage’s headliners, Rise Against.
Despite this year’s fantastic lineup the abysmal weather had put rather a dampener on the whole weekend, but Sunday’s sunshine brought a party atmosphere to the festival that the bands over on the main stage had been making the most of, with Anthrax and Lamb Of God pulling off lively sets that kept the circle pits going all afternoon.
