According to Wikipedia. Vorarephilia (often shortened to vore) is a paraphilia characterized by the erotic desire to be consumed by, or sometimes to personally consume, another person or creature, or an erotic attraction to the process of eating in general practice. Vore Gore opens up with “Mouth” by Mikel Balerdi, which features some cringe inducing footage of diseased mouths, teeth removal and other bloody trauma. It’s shocking if entirely plotless.

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by Doghouse Pictures. Director: Brini Amerigo. Writers: Brini Amerigo, Andrea Cavaletto and Marco Palese. Cast: Danny Cutler, Alex Lucchesi, Alex Southern and Kate Marie Davies. Beautiful People is a film from Rome, Italy. The film features practical effects and it will be released by Raven Banner Entertainment, shortly. The film also blends two horror sub-genres: the zombie film and the home invasion thriller. The blend of genres works here, but, Beautiful People is no Funny Games (2007), nor 28 Days Later (2002). Instead, the film stumbles to find a relevant reason for all of its violence. The character Brett (Alex Southern) tries to find a moral compass and fails. All of the other characters are even more amoral. In the end, Beautiful People is an exercise in depravity. One review mentioned that Beautiful People is nihilistic. However, the trio of writers have introduced...

Hidden In the Woods
Directed by Patricio Valladares
Written by Patricio Valladares and Andrea Cavaletto
Chile, 2012
What exactly consists of a good groundhouse picture? Which conceivable, perceptible elements are sufficient for one movie fan, presumably one owing some familiarity in the genre, to conclude that groundhouse movie ‘a’ was swell, whereas movie grondhouse ‘b’ was not. Is the genre itself not supposed to give birth to films that, if assessed along the typically recognized guidelines (good acting, good story, good directing, good special effects provided said effects are present), are by and large bad? That is partly their charm, a charm virtually no other genre can claim. This year’s Fantasia International Film Festival lineup reserved some special projects for such fans. One was Michael Biehn’s directorial debut, The Victim, a film this movie reviewer found dreadful (for an altogether different take, here is Michael Ryan’s review and...

Michael Biehn has made a name for himself as a character actor specializing in delightfully villainous roles; think of his turn as Johnny Ringo in Tombstone, for example. But the Terminator star is now trying his hand as a director/producer with Blanc Biehn, the company he co-founded with his wife, the appropriately-named Jennifer Blanc Biehn. So far, he’s directed and starred in the grindhouse thriller The Victim — which premiered last week at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival — and the duo just wrapped production on their next film, Treachery. The projects don’t end there — according to a press release (via DailyDead), the team will soon take on the task of remaking a South American horror film.
Blanc Biehn Productions announced they will be making the English language remake of Patrick Valladares’ En Las Afueras de la Ciudad (Hidden in the Woods). As with The Victim, Biehn will star in the remake,...

Hidden in the Woods aka En Las Afueras de la Ciudad is a horror film currently in post-production. This film was shot in fourteen days within Chile and director Patricio Valladares (Toro Loco) helmed this production, as director. Strangely, the Spanish title translates to In the Outskirts of the City, according to this part time Spanish speaker, but different territories generally receive different titles e.g. North America.

If El Mariachi was a horror film, it probably would've wound up looking a bit like Toco Loco, the third film from writer/director Patricio Valladeres, which promises a steady stream of brutality and double-crosses set against the dusty landscape of a South of the Border town. Sign us up!

Based on the comic The Party by Andrea Cavaletto, Patricio Valladares' Departyd looks to be heavily on the twisted side as it follows a detective in search of the man who killed his daughter. You can check out the teaser after the break.
"A battle between Good and Evil from the realm of the Ancient Aztecs. A detective is searching for a man who killed his daughter in an orgy of blood. The killer is trying to bring back an ancient Aztec god to rule the world. Caught in the middle is Lisa, a beautiful young woman with a heritage she doesn't care about much less comprehend.
