Illusion Islands has revealed the trailer for the mystery romance comedy thriller (all in one!) film titled The Private Eye, marking the featuring directorial debut of filmmaker Jack Cook. But he falls for her, too... The film stars Matt Rife as Mort Madison, with Clare Grant, Elliot, Denzel Whitaker, Lexy Panterra, Charles Worth, Erik Griffin, Eugenia Kuzmina, & Eric Roberts. Ooph, this is not a great trailer for a film that does not look good at all. Avoid this one and go watch The Kid Detective instead. // Continue Reading ›...

“Matt Rife: Natural Selection” is a special stand-up comedy with Matt Rife. It’s directed by Erik Griffin.
He’s handsome, very, very handsome. And, moreover, he knows it and, to top it off, he takes advantage of it. As he steps onto the stage, the outlandish screams of his fans (mostly female) reverberate in a setting where he appears, Matt Rife, with his brilliant blue eyes and perfect face to captivate everyone with his show.
Our friend has something for everyone and all tastes, and it seems that his loyal audience doesn’t mind when he uses irony whereas he disdains the younger generation for being ignorant and adores (albeit with irony) the elderly.
Well, comparing Michael Jackson to an Asian woman was quite funny, let’s admit it.
Matt delivers his “roguish” discourse with intelligence and irony, making us realize that, deep down, it’s all a character...

Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Anders Holm were the creators and stars behind Workaholics. The notoriously hysterical Comedy Central TV series premiered back in 2011 and ran for seven seasons.
When word broke that there would be an upcoming Workaholics movie, fans and followers were ecstatic. However, sadly, that no longer seems to be the case, and many are wondering what exactly happened to the Workaholics film.

The TV academy has honored voice-only performances since 1992, when six cast members from “The Simpsons” collectively became the first actors to receive Emmys for such work. The Best Voice-Over Performance category became an official non-juried one in 2009 and was then split into two categories in 2014: Best Character Voice-Over and Best Narrator. Harry Shearer (“The Simpsons”) made history as the former category’s first champion, having been nominated once before for the same series.

Huge congratulations are in order for Workaholics star Adam Devine and actress Chloe Bridges, who took the big walk down the aisle over the weekend! The Hollywood couple announced their engagement almost two years ago, and now they can officially refer to each other as husband and wife. According to Page Six, the two exchanged vows during a ceremony held in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, that apparently took a lot to pull off.
"Were we crazy for trying to plan a wedding during a global pandemic??" Bridges wrote in an Instagram post prior to the ceremony. "Probably, yeah, cause many, many things went wrong including but not limited to us both getting breakthrough covid. But we gave it our best shot and it's almost here and it seems like it's actually going to pan out!!" She went on to show off some of her runner-up wedding gown choices that didn't...

"You like that, don't you? Being dangerous." Dread Presents has revealed the first official trailer for a funky horror film titled Val, from filmmaker Aaron Fradkin. Not to be confused with the excellent documentary Val about Val Kilmer, this is a feature film that dips into something else entirely. Fin is a wanted criminal for the murder of his boss. He decides to hide out with a high class escort named Val, who's really a demon. Val offers to make his problems disappear if he follows her rules. She has been expecting him all along and it won’t be easy to escape Val's dungeon. Misha Reeves stars as the titular Val, short for Valefar, joined by Zachary Mooren as Fin, with Erik Griffin, Sufe Bradshaw, Kyle Howard, and John Kapelos. This is a very kinky, wacky concept that looks simultaneous extremely cheesy and seriously terrifying. Have fun. Here's the...

"We need to find something that real gamers really want to play." Blue Fox Entertainment has released an official trailer for an indie comedy titled Hero Mode, the feature directorial debut of producer / filmmaker A.J. Tesler. With his family’s indie video game business on the brink of bankruptcy, a teenage coding genius has just 30 days to create the world’s greatest video game. "No pressure." They're playing this as a family comedy for all ages, and it definitely looks like it's made to make everyone laugh. Hero Mode stars Chris Carpenter as Troy, Mira Sorvino, Sean Astin plus Indiana Massara as Paige, along with Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kimia Behpoornia, Phillip Solomon, Monte Markham, Creed Bratton, Jim O'Heir, Erik Griffin, Bobby Lee, and Al Madrigal. This is extremely cheesy and especially obvious in its video game designer humor. But there is still some kind of strange charm to it that might make it worth watching.

"Just get rid of the guy." Lionsgate has released a trailer for a comedy titled Guest House, the latest from actor / filmmaker Sam Maccarone. This looks as stupid as they come, which should surprise no one. A newly engaged couple finally finds the home of their dreams, but it all quickly becomes a nightmare when the previous owner's friend continues squatting in their guest house. It soon leads to a turf war that ultimately ruins their house, their marriage and their lives. Starring Pauly Shore, Mike Castle, Aimee Teegarden, Billy Zane, Steve-o, Charlotte McKinney, Erik Griffin, Felipe Esparza, and Bobby Lee. With this cast, and with this redundant "outrageous, raunchy comedy" concept, this movie is straight out of the 90s – and belongs there. It looks like Jackass meets Neighbors, but much dumber than both of those. Have fun... Here's the first red band trailer (+ green band / poster) for Sam Macaroni's Guest House,...

David Spade’s “Lights Out,” Comedy Central’s latest attempt to fill its 11:30 p.m. time slot, averaged 270,000 total viewers in its premiere week.
Among adults 18-49, which is the key demo for advertisers on entertainment programming, “Lights Out” averaged a 0.17 rating from Monday-Thursday. Spade played slightly better among adults 25-54, averaging a 0.20 rating.
None of those are great numbers.
