While fans of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of season 2 Here) patiently wait to see the bonus episode that’s going to air sometime between the second and third seasons, showrunners Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco have let it be known that season 3 – which was, of course, greatly delayed by the strikes that hit the entertainment industry last year – is finally going to start filming in May, aiming for an early 2025 premiere!

While fans of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of season 2 Here) patiently wait to see the bonus episode that’s going to air sometime between the second and third seasons, showrunners Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco have confirmed that they and the writers that populate the show’s writing room are deep into the writing process on Yellowjackets season 3.
The show’s writers had already assembled to work on the next batch of episodes when the Writers Guild strike hit at the start of May – and that strike kept the development of season 3 on hold through the end of September. During a Q&a for SAG-AFTRA nomination committee members last night, Lyle said (as reported by Variety), “We’re deep in the writing. (Once the writers strike ended) everybody came back so incredibly enthusiastic, raring to go and creatively invigorated. We’re having so much fun...

Writer and Actress Felicia Day stopped by San Diego Comic-Con along with some of her cast from her new story “Third Eye.” Day is the creator and star of the web series The Guild (2007–2013), a show loosely based on her life as a gamer. As an actress, Day has played Vi in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2003) and Dr. Holly Marten in Eureka (2011) and had a recurring role as Charlie Bradbury on Supernatural (2012–2015, 2018–2020).
According to Audible, “Third Eye” is about the magical land of San Francisco, there lived a not-so-ordinary girl named Laurel Pettigrew. She was supposed to be the Chosen One. The plan was simple: She would vanquish the great evil Tybus in an epic battle. But destiny had other ideas, and Laurel’s performance in the whole heroics department was a colossal flop.
Now, instead of being a legendary hero, Laurel’s the resident pariah of the magic realm.

Season 2 of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of the new season Here) is scheduled to begin airing on Showtime on March 26th, but fans can also catch the first episode of season 2 streaming and On Demand as of today. As we head into the second season, Showtime has unveiled two cool pieces of marketing that’s very fitting for a show that partially takes place in 1996: a ’90s-style MTV News video (complete with Kurt Loder!) that covers the news of the disappearance of the titular Yellowjackets, and directs viewers to a ’90s-style website, WhereAretheYellowjackets.com. If you were watching MTV or surfing the web back in the ’90s, these marketing materials will definitely press your nostalgia buttons. The MTV News video can be seen at the bottom of this article.

We tried to really add some horror elements to this iconic song to fit the tone of the show.

Keir Gilchrist, Nik Dodani, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Amy Okuda of Netflix’s dramedy Atypical are ready to hit the polls for November 3 and they are leading the charge with two events for the election.
The first of the two events have Lundy-Paine, Dodani, and Gilchrist partnering with White People 4 Black Lives, a group associated with Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, to host a virtual phone bank to persuade and turn out Los Angeles voters against incumbent District Attorney Jackie Lacey.
“For years, Black Lives Matter LA has had a simple message: Jackie Lacey must go,” said Dodani, who is currently in production on Universal’s forthcoming adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen. “We’re gonna do our best to help make that happen.” The virtual phone bank event will take October 17 from 10am-1pm Pst and will feature the Atypical actors in a brief conversation with political...

The road to “How to Get Away with Murder” is lined with dead bodies. Twenty-eight to be exact. Over the years, the series showed that there’s no shortage of ways to die. Suicide, poison, overdose, suffocation — you name it.
The most shocking deaths, of course, are the “anchors”: In the season’s first half, each episode reveals a new detail about the murder while the second half reveals how they covered it up. But there are a few others that stand out, as well.
In the first season, for example, Lila Stangard (Megan West) was done in by Frank (Charlie Weber), a proxy of Sam (Tom Verica) in a way that actually made the “cheating husband kills his pregnant girlfriend” schtick interesting. In the second season, Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) was also killed, delighting audiences due to seeing a calm, murderous side to Bonnie (Liza Weil). And then,...

Over the course of its soon-to-be four-season run, “The Good Place” has notoriously avoided spoilers. Trailers have been sparse-to-nonexistent, teases have been oblique, and cast and crew have been visibly afraid to discuss unaired episodes for fear of giving away precious plot points.
So it’s at least a tiny bit shocking that “The Good Place: The Selection” exists. A series of a half-dozen two-minute shorts that serve as a thematic and narrative handshake between Seasons 3 and 4 of the show, all of these mini-episodes are set in The Bad Place. Following the compromise that bought Michael, Eleanor, and the rest of the crew one last chance to save themselves from an eternity of suffering, “The Selection” tracks the efforts of Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) and his Bad Place underlings to find people that will help their side emerge victorious.

Netflix’s Atypical is a refreshing comedy that stars Keir Gilchrist as an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum. Since premiering, it has garnered acclaim and praise for the representation of autism via a comedic lens. Rohlich credits show creator Robia Rashid (who was unable to make it to Austin because she was sick) for how the show represents the autism community with empathy and thoughtfulness. “We have a lot of awareness about representing all of our characters, but in particular Sam,” she said. “As we develop our stories, we make sure things are authentic by working...

Amy Okuda seems like an interesting individual that thankfully isn’t too tied down by stereotypes. She’s been around for a little while at this point and has likely learned the business and how to get along in it, but it would seem that she could use a boost now and then to really get her career into the next zone and start advancing again. Or it could be that the acting industry is simply a kind of push and pull kind of deal that has yet to full realize that those that started back in the 2000s are ready and

Sometimes when a family is trying to regroup in trying times, parents have some difficult decisions to make. In other cases, the kids pretend to be giant birds hatching their siblings. Looks like the latest round of “Atypical” has a little bit of both.
Netflix offered up an early look at Season 2, which premieres early next month. Set in the wake of some major changes in the Gardner family’s natural environment, Sam (Keir Gilchrist) is struggling to adapt to some shifts in his high school friend group.
