Captain Sig Hanson made some decisions about his 18-year-old daughter, Mandy Hanson that angered his crew. Furthermore, rough weather conditions made things uncomfortable for the Deadliest Catch crew as they hauled in the crabs in the stormy Bering Sea.
Discovery Channel’s Captain Sig Hanson Has A Hardworking Crew
Some people don’t like the direction that the Discovery show takes at the moment. And, it doesn’t seem to be about the fact that more women are at sea. Actually, it’s about them not pulling their weight. Viewers are already familiar with Sophia Nielsen on F/V Victory. In Mandy’s case, it’s more about her boss-dad favoring her. Naturally, it’s a hard and dangerous job, and the crew doesn’t like to go shorthanded.

Deadliest Catch deckhand Spencer Moore nearly met his end after a dangerous situation in 2017. If the Discovery Channel was angling for a hit show, then they hauled it in with the “Deadliest Catch,” which premiered in 2005 and has aired every year since.
The documentary series, narrated by Mike Rowe, follows crab fishermen and crab boats as they ply their dangerous and sometimes deadly trade in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab and snow crab fishing seasons. The base for the crab fleet is the Aleutian Islands port of Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Through the years of the TV show’s airing, it has proven popular around the globe, making the skippers, their crewman, and their boats, celebrities in their own right.

In 2007, Jake Anderson joined the crew of the fishing vessel, Northwestern, as a greenhorn. That same year, he made his debut as a reality TV star on Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch. The series, which premiered in April 2005, depicts the trials and tribulations of life aboard for the fisherman of the Bering Sea. Anderson quickly developed into a fan favorite, becoming as well known for his personal life as for his professional career as a crab fisherman. Originally from Forks, Washington, Anderson is a fourth- generation fisherman who began fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska, when he was just 17.

Jake Anderson has seen better days out in the Bering Sea. In fact, it’s as if the sea has something against him this season on Deadliest Catch. Surveying the roiling and crashing waves that are topping 40 feet in some swells, Jake, captain of the F/V Saga and the former protege and greenhorn for Northwestern Captain Sig Hansen, says: “She’s howling…this is the roughest weather I’ve seen this season right now.” The ship is shown heaving and dipping down so steeply it’s a miracle the crew stays on the deck at all. Mike Rowe, who narrates the series, sounds dire […]

The Filipino singer and Glee guest star formerly known as Charice Pempengco now goes by the new name, Jake Zyrus.
Zyrus, 25, debuted the new moniker on Twitter and Instagram Sunday — almost three years after revealing to Oprah Winfrey that “my soul is male.”
Since rising to international stardom in late 2007, the Tagaytay native became the first Asian solo singer in history to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart with the release of 2010’s Charice, which debuted at No. 8.

Judging by Dancing With the Stars‘ new standards, Monday’s episode of the ABC series was fantastic, simply because no protestors rushed the stage and derailed the broadcast. (Pretty low bar… but it is a reality competition show, after all.)
Still, even without any Ryan Lochte-related drama, the second installment of Season 23 was genuinely a strong outing. Confidence was higher, routines were more involved and, if Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Game of Thrones dance is any indication, the season’s entire set design budget has already been spent.
