- Sarah Goher is an Egyptian American writer and producer known for Marvel's MOON KNIGHT.
Sarah is the longtime creative partner of Mohamed Diab. She produced his first film, CAIRO 678 (2010), about a trio of female vigilantes who fight sexual harassment on the streets of Cairo. Paulo Coehlo tweeted "should be mandatory for all men to watch."
Their sophomore film was the Cannes Un Certain Regarde opener CLASH (2016), an action packed political thriller shot entirely from within the confines of a police truck, praised by Tom Hanks who urged people to see it, for "it will break your heart, but enlighten all."
Their latest film AMIRA (2021) centers around the phenomenon of Palestinian prisoners conceiving children through smuggled sperm.
Sarah has co-written two English language scripts with Diab, a refugee superhero film and a sci-fi thriller.
She is currently preparing to direct her first feature film.
Sarah was born and bred in the South Bronx to Egyptian immigrants.
Her maternal grandfather is the legendary Egyptian composer Abdu Dagher, who's music influenced her greatly.
She attended Bronx public schools and eventually tested her way into competitive Manhattan private schools, attending on scholarships, including Nightingale Bamford, a private all girls school that inspired the series GOSSIP GIRL.
