Dr. Neal Dorian an avid Sci-fiction lover and things involving Space
Travel were one of Neal's favorites, also loved trilogies and action
adventure. He was born in New York City, New York in 1929. He moved to
Los Angeles, California where he attended high school and went on to
complete his graduate degree at University of Southern California, USC.
As a young man growing up he was greatly influenced by his mentor
Actor/Singer Herb Jeffries.
He graduated USC in the first class of students majoring in "Psychology" and worked at Los Angeles County Medical Center for many years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, as well as a Sergent in the Los Angeles National Guard.
Dr. Dorian was very active in his community and also held office in the Los Angeles Chapter of the Urban League and finally as a Child Psychologist for the Pasadena office of "Headstart". His vast knowledge in horticulture lead him to become a respected Bonsai tree educator and cultivator.
He produced and worked behind the scenes in movies and television projects. Later in life he worked on projects that were community based in local public access television.
Dr. Dorian left behind a wife, Ailean of 38 years; a son, Anthony Foster and his wife Nancy; three daughters, Michi Huston her husband Anthony; Arvie; his stepmother, Herme Sheperd; one sister, Celeste Grey and her family; two brothers Glen Shepherd and John Cremona; grandchildren, Angelique, Kelsey, Aaron, and Brandon; two nephews, Glen and Terry Shepherd.
