- Chirinos is a long-time storyteller, artist and proud LA native. Over the span of her career, she has been dedicated to inclusive expression and diverse, female-led stories. From building performance art pieces within the Queer community to acting as a guide and mentor at organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and Youth Cinema Project, Chirinos has always prioritized a collaborative, active working environment.
Chirinos studied modern literature and creative writing at the University of California Santa Cruz. While living in the Bay area in her early 20s, she cut her teeth producing three feature films with a small band of like-minded misfits. Returning to Los Angeles in 2008, Chirinos began work as a live music photographer shooting eclectic artists such as Portishead, Janelle Monae, Nick Cave, Solange, The Dillinger Escape Plan, FKA Twigs, Savages, Wu-Tang Clan, Bat For Lashes, and Run The Jewels.
In 2011, Chirinos took a job at industry tent-pole Technicolor and learned the post production workflow. Five years later, after a period of freelancing, she accepted a position supervising Thesis production at the American Film Institute. During her time at AFI, Chirinos teamed up with female-led non-profit Camp Reel Stories to establish their inaugural Los Angeles session. She was also a Page International Screenwriting Awards semi-finalist with co-written short script History of Intent.
For 10+ years, Chirinos has been privileged to write, produce and direct her own stories. She has had films screen at HollyShorts, Lady Filmmakers, SCAD, Athena, and London's Portobello Film Festival. She also produced and directed a project with the Oxnard Boys & Girls Club Teen Center, ultimately earning their National Award of Achievement.- IMDb Mini Biography By: cmagnolia42@gmail.com

- Making a great film is all about assembling a great team. That's what it's about for me. In a perfect world there would be no egos, just unlimited professionalism, good humor, and camaraderie. I always want to work in a collaborative environment. That's why I love movie making...it's social and collaborative. I have no interest in taking all the credit for doing everything myself. My intent has always been to showcase the exceptional talent of individuals in their specialized fields.
- There aren't enough people in the middle ground between film-making as art and film-making as business. That's why film quality is deteriorating and people think it's smart to spend $150 million on a poor script just because it's preexisting material with a following.
- Jumping between genres and languages is like a visual artist jumping between mediums. Oil, watercolor, pencils, pastels, mix media, installations...they're all just different expressions of what moves and drives the passion of the creator.
- As anyone who's ever made any kind of film knows, whether it's 15 minutes or 2 hours, the process is kind of unbearable. So you have to love it. You have to love it... and I love it.
- It's scary being on a path that no one else can really define... you have to outline it all on your own.
