After viewing the premiere episode and catching up with the cast and crew of Fxx’s “Little Demon” during their panel at San Diego Comic Con we felt the series was both entertaining and smartly written. The animated series focuses on what happens with Satan’s daughter, Chrissy, voiced by Lucy DeVito, who happens to be the antichrist hits puberty. Her mom Laura, voiced by Aubrey Plaza, desires for her daughter to have an everyday normal living in Delaware, but her father Satan, voiced by Danny DeVito has other plans for her soul.
The show made it’s official premiere on Fxx, as well as, on Hulu, back on August 25th and continues to churn out solid ratings week after week. Despite the praise from fans and critics, certain Christian groups are taking issue with the series angered that a Disney-owned animated series would explore a demonic topic. During their...

In the premiere of Fxx’s animated comedy Little Demon, Chrissy Feinberg (Lucy DeVito) discovers she’s the spawn of Satan. Literally: Her human mom, Laura (Aubrey Plaza), fucked the Devil (Danny DeVito, Lucy DeVito’s real-life dad) 13 years ago, and Chrissy was the result. Now her dad’s finally tracked them down, and as Chrissy warily lets him into her life, she finds herself increasingly torn between the ordinary teen girl life she thought she wanted and the apocalyptic dreams her father’s offering her — all the while trying to figure out who she really is as her own person.
It’s a tension echoed, with some corresponding awkwardness, in the show itself. In the first three half-hour episodes sent to critics, Little Demon can be wobbly in balancing its impish sense of humor and squishy sense of heart, its otherworldly shenanigans and its more grounded emotions.

If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then good intentions are also sending “Little Demon” to TV’s fiery pit of no return. Over its first three episodes, the adult animated sitcom created and written by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla is high on crude jokes — with nudity, bloodshed, and cringe comedy aplenty — but low on ingenuity, taking a novel premise and steering it toward conventionality. In a crowded landscape of TV-ma animation (unless you’re working for HBO Max), simply talking the filthy talk isn’t enough, and the DeVito family’s fictional foray into hell needs more pep in its step if it’s going to avoid damnation.
Lucy DeVito (daughter of Danny) voices Chrissy, the eponymous spawn of a wine-carrying, cardigan-wearing Satan, played by Danny DeVito (father of Lucy) — only Chrissy doesn’t know her father is a fallen angel; she thinks...

To get the easy joke out of the way quickly, Fxx’s upcoming adult animated series “Little Demon” gives new meaning to the phrase “the ex from Hell.” In fact, “Little Demon” is a very to-the-point title, as the series revolves around the aftermath of 13-year-old Chrissy (voiced by Lucy DeVito) — an otherwise unremarkable seventh-grade girl, with no friends other than her single mother — finding out that she just so happens to be the Antichrist and more remarkable than she could ever imagine. More importantly, she learns that her mother, Laura (Aubrey Plaza), has lied to her whole life, and that the father she’s always believed to be dead is actually Satan (Danny DeVito) himself. And now he wants to be a part of her life. The series follows Chrissy’s new normal, caught in the middle of a custody battle that is also ultimately a battle for her soul.

Growing up is never easy. It's been especially tricky for 13-year-old Chrissy (Lucy DeVito). She's never been able to put down roots and establish friends, as she's constantly on the move from place to place. Chrissy has never met her father who died when she was young, and her mom, Laura (Aubrey Plaza), has them jumping from one remote locale to the other. On her first day at yet another new school, Chrissy is feeling optimistic, having struck up a conversation, and friendship, with a sweet young boy named Bennigan (Eugene Cordero). If only Chrissy could stay long enough in her new surroundings, things might finally calm down.
The only problem for Chrissy is that this is "Little Demon," a fantastic and utterly bonkers show that never stops raising the stakes and the feeling of bloody, cacophonic delirium. Within moments of the first episode, Chrissy is bullied by some boys in the bathroom,...

No show that chronicles life as the devil’s spawn should be G-rated, amiright? That’s one of the unique characteristics of Little Demon, FX’s upcoming animated show about a mother named Laura (voiced by Aubrey Plaza) whose antichrist daughter Chrissy (Lucy DeVito) is quite literally the daughter of Satan (Danny DeVito).
Among other shenanigans, the comedy from creators Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner and Kieran Valla drops some potty language and shows Laura nude — with no pixillation.
“We are going to keep going for it, until we are told no,” Kirschner told reporters today during FX’s Television Critics Tour panel. “We cut a bunch of stuff out, oddly enough.”
“It’s not something to be pixillated,” adds Fowler. “What’s exciting about it, what it says about the character of Laura is that she’s a total badass. She’s Sarah Connor meets Emma Peel meets John Wick.

Here's a show that seems appropriate for the darkest timeline that we seem to be living in. In the new Fxx animated series "Little Demon," Satan has impregnated a human woman. She wants them to live a normal life in Delaware, but Satan wants to hang out with his kid. That actually sounds pretty funny, especially once you find out who's doing the voices. Aubrey Plaza, Danny DeVito, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Shannon, and even the legendary Mel Brooks, according to Deadline's reporting from the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel.

There's a good chance that Aubrey Plaza's Nightmare Time will be more funny than scary, but the in-development pilot is being categorized as a horror anthology series. TBS has given the go-ahead to a pilot for the proposed series, which will be created by and star Plaza and will feature other celebrity guests.
The premise of the series concerns Plaza's fictional "Nightmare Clinic," where celebrities go to get help with their recurring nightmares. The show will apparently use fictional technology to allow viewers to see into the celebrities' dreams as they undergo treatment. The plan, it seems, is for each episode to explore two different nightmares inside the heads of guests on each episode.

Others in the cast include Paul Blackthorne, Andrew McCarthy, Robert Buckley, Sarah Hyland, David Norona, Dylan Clark Marshall, Seth Kirschner, Matt Lauria, David Alan Basche, and Marcia DeBonis.
After ordering a second season of 13 episodes, NBC opted not to order "the back nine" installments to complete the season. That didn't come as much of a surprise considering the size of the Jungle viewership.

The peacock network has gotten tired of picking up the tab for "three of New York's most powerful women." They're cancelling the Lipstick Jungle TV show after two seasons and 20 episodes.
Lipstick Jungle is based on the best-selling book by Sex and the City's Candace Bushnell and follows the lives of three high-powered friends; former studio president Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields), magazine editor Nico Reilly (Kim Raver), and fashion designer Victory Fords (Lindsay Price). Others castmembers include performers like Paul Blackthorne, Andrew McCarthy, Robert Buckley, Sarah Hyland, David Norona, Dylan Clark Marshall, Seth Kirschner, Matt Lauria, David Alan Basche, and Marcia DeBonis.
The series debuted as a midseason replacement series on February 7, 2008. Despite being part of NBC's Thursday night line-up, Jungle only attracted 7.54 million viewers and a 2.9/8 rating/share of the 18-49 demographic. The rest of the season averaged fewer than six million viewers.

Sex and the City creator Darren Star has teamed with CBS to develop a comedy based on the Web series We Need Girlfriends.
The network has handed out a script commitment to the project, which would be written by Steven Tsapelas, Angel Acevedo and Brian Amyot, the masterminds behind the original series that has drawn as many as 700,000 views per episode on YouTube during its 11-episode run.
The online Girlfriends chronicles the adventures of Tom (Patrick Cohen), Henry (Seth Kirschner) and Rod (Evan Bass), recent college graduates struggling to understand the complex world of the New York dating scene after they are simultaneously dumped by their long-term college girlfriends.
Star will executive produce Girlfriends for CBS and Sony Pictures TV, with Dennis R. Erdman and Clark Peterson serving as co-exec producers.
It has been a busy development season for Star. He is executive producing the ABC comedy pilot Literary Superstars, starring Jenna Elfman, and has several projects in the works at other broadcast nets, including the one-hour Raffik, from writer Anthony Horowitz, set up at Fox.
