The world of Web Series is about as diverse as it gets. From format, to genre, to production quality, they’re everywhere, and some of them take the opportunity to go for a risk.
Being un-Google-able is a risk, as is being a fairly tame show with a name like Cam Girls, but the series, which hits June 1st is surprisingly layered for something that only has 4-6 minutes to get things done.
The story revolves around Liv (Kate Bond), and the journey that leads her to becoming a Cam Girl. As she mentions in the trailer, she starts at the beginning. It’s actually a well-developed road that highlights the odd, and unforeseeable turns our lives may take. A new job, a new friend, a friend’s husband who has spy cams all over his house… the usual.

In addition to being the sexiest new show on TV, Femme Fatales is also the scrappiest. Shot in a mere three days, this pulpy anthology series features new settings, new casts -- and sometimes new genres -- each week. Tonight's episode, "Haunted", is the show's first full-on horror-themed episode, about a team of psychic researchers that includes the lovely Annie Lynne Melchor (pictured above on the left). I caught up with Melchor this week on the Los Angeles set of Femme Fatales, and she talked a little about her own belief in the supernatural. Check out our chat after the jump. This Friday sees the seventh episode of Cinemax' new sexy series Femme Fatales, a pulpy, episodic anthology of tales where powerful and dangerous women use their survival instincts to escape perilous situations and exude their inner guile.
The series, borne out of the creators of Femme Fatales Magazine draws its inspiration from film noir and graphic novels, placing the stories in contemporary setting.
