With her television series, "Gramercy Park", Janet is partnered with Executive Producers, Mike Newell, Scott Winant and Brenda Friend and actress, Millie Brady is attached to star as Kate Donovan.
Her screenplay adaptation of Henry James's, "The Ambassadors" is being produced by Cleone Clarke and Philippe Carcassonne with Director Mike Newell. She is developing film projects for actor-producer Jenny Seagrove's Springing Dog Productions.
Other screenplays include; "Map of the World",(uncredited) starring Sigourney Weaver and Julianne Moore, and "Custom of the Country", adapted from the novel by Edith Wharton. She has written an original screenplay, "Freedom", which she is also developing for director, Mike Newell.
Her film "What if God Were the Sun," for Twentieth-Century Fox and Lifetime TV was nominated for a 2008 Emmy, Golden Globe and a SAG Award for the lead actress, Gena Rowlands.
Her play, "The Elizabeths" is being produced by Marc Routh, Marc Routh Productions and Fred Perry, of Scott Perry productions in London. She is teaming on a new play with director, Trevor Nunn in London. Theatrical Literary Agent, Caroline Underwood is her UK representative.
She was a Nicholl Award finalist for screenwriting from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science and is a member of the WGA, west, serves on the board of the Young Filmmaker's Academy and is a writer-in-residence for The Antaeus Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She was a WGA-DGA writer-in-residence for The Autumn Stories program in Paris. She has guest lectured and run workshops for; The Celtic Media Festival in Galway, Ireland, The Old Vic writers program in conjunction with Poisson Rouge Pictures, the Boston University's Writer's Pitch Program in Los Angeles, California State University Long Beach and California State University Fullerton.
