International K-Drama Day: From The Glory 2 To Moving Top 10 Must-Watch Korean Shows Of 2023 ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Korean dramas have provided a safe and comforting space to the audience over the years. Contrary to popular belief, K-dramas are not just about cliched romantic comedies, though there is nothing wrong with that, but also teach us many life lessons along the way. If K-fanatics are to be believed, 2023 has proved to be one fruitful year, with many heartwarming shows providing a feeling of contentment this year.
While K-dramas have been around for quite some time now, it wasn’t until a few years ago that Netflix, Viki, Disney+ Hotstar, and Prime Videos, among other streaming spaces, began streaming Korean shows, opening up a new dimension for global viewers. In 2023, all of these Ott giants have done a commendable job of delivering some top-notch K-dramas that have managed to swoon every drama lover out there.

“Behind Your Touch” is a series created by Lee Nam-kyu and starring Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, and Suho.
Looking for something different? “Behind Your Touch” is different from its treatment, a laugh-out-loud comedy that suddenly knows how to break its own rhythm to become dramatic and mysterious, all while maintaining its comedic style. . a special one.
A series that revolves around its protagonist, a very special girl with very special powers that make “Behind Your Touch” strangely funny and entertaining.
Although it may not go down in television history, we fear.

Ticking time bombs and a race against time are a staple of the thriller genre. For his latest work “Decibel”, director Hwang In-ho, the man behind the horror/romcom “Spellbound” and the action-heavy “Monster”, treads familiar grounds of one man going against the clock to save the city.

One year ago, the Korean submarine Roks Halla sunk after being hit by a rogue torpedo and with it, perished exactly half of the crew that was onboard, while the other half was saved days later. Today, the vessel's Captain Kang Do-yeong, still evidently suffering from Ptsd, is hailed a hero for managing to survive and saving half his men under extreme circumstances. One day, as he is returning from a press conference and felicitation ceremony, he receives a mysterious phone call that tells him of a bomb that has been placed inside a football stadium,...

The term chick-flick usually refers to romantic comedies addressed almost exclusively to women, usually implementing a motif of an underdog romancing a rich handsome guy, eventually ending up together in true love after a bit of drama before the happy ending. On the other hand, the guy-flick, although not so widely known, also has its own rules, usually entailing intense violence, sex, gorgeous women and cool men, but very little context, in a style frequently met in Hollywood blockbusters, at least before political correctness started dictating everything. “For the Emperor” is a movie that belongs to the second category, in a fashion that can only be described as unashamed.

“Extraterrestrial”
Director: Nacho Vigalondo
Writer: Nacho Vigalondo
Starring: Michelle Jenner, Carlos Areces, Julián Villagrán
“Extraterrestrial” is a movie I’ve been excited about for a while, in part because of how it was marketed – the small, almost invisible glimpses of the alien ships in the posters, and the creative viral marketing aspect to it all. Later on, when it was revealed to be something of a comedy, with a smirking Spaniard looking out and holding a glowing tennis ball, everyone cocked their eyebrows, and wondered just what this thing was going to turn out to be.
It’s a slighter film than one would initially expect, being more dependent on the inter-dynamics of the three people and their ever-revolving love triangle at the heart of it than on any kind of spectacle that you would expect from an alien invasion movie, but that’s not particularly a bad thing. There...

Some cheesy moments and high adrenaline action may very well be the saving grace of Quick, a Korean-made film. The name will not get any headlines, since it looks like Keanu Reeve's Speed on acid, but mix in some fun from the opening act of Katsuhiro Otomo's animated opus, Akira, with some stylistic cinematography and trippy stunts, this film may potentially be a product to check out.
There are no psychics or secret government agendas to keep an eye out for. Instead, the fun and thrills of motorcycle races is certainly more thrilling to watch than a clumsy city bus that can't stop.
Ki-Soo (Lee Min-Ki) was a member of a motorcycle gang during his youth, so audiences have to wonder if the invisible antagonist is part of Soo's past. He is clean now, and is working as a delivery service. But when one of his latest trips proves to be dangerous,...
