- Theater helps one groom in all aspects. An actor cannot make a mistake as there are no re-takes. Television is more natural because we do not have to be loud in our actions to enhance the situation. So in my view, both the mediums are good. Theater opens me up as an actor and makes me more confident but I personally prefer television due to its wide connect with the masses.
- I have realized that after every two years, there is a transition in television. One phase was with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2000) and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (2000), where the actors were in demand. Then there were regressive shows, and then came reality shows. Things keep changing every two years. But I feel it has become more acting driven than just being driven by looks.
- While I stay far away from mythos, I could not say no to playing Krishna for 'it's the best' any male character can play.
- You have to ask yourself do you really love acting or are you getting into it for the glamour, fame or money part ... because if you do something you don't genuinely love then one day you will feel incomplete no matter what you become.
- I love this new medium (web series) for it offers not only much more shades, but the characters on hand are much more realistic as well.
- Treat your body like a temple; put inside the body what will make it better than it is.
- I've been new and raw and naive when I started but my hardworking attitude paved the way for me getting some good work.
- It's been a very weird journey, very confusing. For the last couple of years, I didn't know what to do. I was concentrating only on films. The response to Kismat Konnection (2008) was good, but I was getting similar roles and I did not want to get typecast as a negative character because I don't have a negative face.
- My uncles were big producers under the banner Varma Films and made some huge hits ....but then they gave up the banner by the end of 80's so I didn't reap any benefits of being from a film background.
- It's my responsibility to be good enough, to then getting back to being committed, learning more and more growing as a person because that's what's needed most to be a good actor.
- Do one thing in a day just for one hour, but with the most intensity. This way you burn calories all day long.
- I had taken a break from TV to try my luck in films. But for a year and a half I've been open to television as I realized that one should never take a break from work.
- Current favorite book: Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday, because it makes me realize and understand how obstacles in life can be turned into opportunities.
- I have always shared a good rapport with Star Plus because I share a comfort level with them. But I am comfortable working with any channel till I have a substantial role to essay.
- Wagle Ki Duniya (1988) was one of my all-time favorite shows as a child. I was bowled over by the simplicity of the show and how Anjan Srivastav Ji used to so genuinely portray and solve the day-to-day issues of society and relationships. It was an honor for me to be a part of [the new] Wagle Ki Duniya (2021), to add to it the fact that it's produced by Hats off who are family to me so it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the show.
- [Talking about his character in the show Wagle Ki Duniya (2021)] Normally I'm known to play the Mr nice guy, but this one will be like a journey of being one on the grey side. We are all grey and make mistakes in life and how we learn and realize from them is what the show and even this character is about.
- I want to play something intense. I am very impressed with Javier Bardem's performance in No Country for Old Men (2007). He has played a psychopath so differently, it was very inspiring. In Hindi, I would love to play Amitabh Bachchan's character from Trishul (1978).
