Heroes Reborn, Season 1, Episode 7, “June 13th Part One”
Written by Adam Lash & Cori Uchida
Directed by Allan Arkush
Airs on Thursdays at 8pm (Et) on NBC
Why the hell are we just now getting here?
Seriously, what was gained by having us wait until episode seven to get to the primo drama that has been running the engine of this show? Sure, the series opened with Odessa exploding, but why force us to deal with all the tedium of grief boats and Hrg running around in circles when the show has Harris Bombs under its sleeves. Harris bombs! That’s so cool. You want to hook viewers into watching the continuation of a show that didn’t end on the best of notes, open with clone bombs, not some aurora borealis nonsense.
Appropriate for an episode that deals with the past, “June 13th – Part One” showcases why the best parts...

Teleplay by Cameron Porsandeh, Story by Adam Lash and Cori Uchida
Directed by Brad Turner
Airs Fridays at 10 Pm on Syfy
The entrance of The Scythe and his associates in the Arctic Biosystems facility last week once again drove home the ever-looming threat of Ilaria corporation. Unlike Constance Sutton’s arrival, however, The Scythe spent no time in deceit, instead announcing his presence by brutally slaughtering numerous scientists upon first encountering them. Day 12 on the facility sees the remaining survivors try to figure out how best to deal with The Scythe, in an exciting episode that adds some strong character beats as well.
The conversation between Dr. Walker and Dr. Jordan this week about their newfound immortality is a fascinating one. The events at the facility over the past few days haven’t given Dr. Walker much time to process...

Written by Adam Lash and Cori Uchida
Directed by Mike Rohl
Airs Fridays at 10 Pm on Syfy
With Major Balleseros left for dead, and Dr. Farragut discovering that Doreen was murdered, last week’s events proved more clearly than ever that the Cdc could not rely on anyone telling them the truth. The discovery of Dr. Hvit proved that the facility had a lot of secrets that went beyond the nature of the virus. This week’s episode delves into some darker secrets being hidden, in a strong episode that brings Dr. Farragut and Dr. Jordan up to speed while introducing new elements into the mix.
The presence of Anana is an intriguing new wrinkle, particularly in its implications. While other scientists have expressed a fear of Dr. Hatake and the facility before, there’s never been any indication that the people at...
