I’ve been a little hard on the last couple of tracks that Arty put out, but only because I knew he was capable of more. The Russian DJ/producer has now proven me right by delivering a remix of Armin Van Buuren’s “Embrace” that sees him ride the line between trance and progressive house as effectively as ever.
“Embrace” was the title track of Van Buuren’s most recent album, and featured its most notable instrumentals as trumpet samples contributed by Eric Vloeimans accompanied its somber synth melodies. Arty’s remix synthesizes these elements into a more traditional framework, but his expert ear for sound design makes it stand out among similar songs on the market.
Arty assured us that he had more music coming down the pipeline, and if it’s anything like this then we won’t write him off as a sellout quite yet.

It’s a big day for Armin Van Buuren fans today, as the trance legend has two big announcements for us.
The first comes in the form of the expected but still very pleasing Armin Only Embrace world tour, which is set to get underway in 2016. Dates and stops haven’t been announced just yet, but as you can see in the video above, the more people use the hashtag #Aoembrace, the more Armin will reveal. According to the official press release, every 5,000 uses of the hashtag will unlock a new clue, so start Tweeting!
In the second piece of Armin news, the producer has announced that pre-orders are now available for the highly anticipated A State of Trance Year Mix, which will drop on December 18th. Boasting some of trance music’s heaviest hitters, like Cosmic Gate, Andrew Rayel, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz and more, the release is sure to be a big one,...

To put it simply, Armin Van Buuren‘s sixth studio album, Embrace, is just about the best you could expect from a full-length effort released by an artist at his level of success. Let’s call it what it is: When you achieve the level of status that Armin has, you’re not just an artist anymore. You’re a full fledged enterprise, and there’s an entire team working behind the scenes to make you as profitable a commodity as humanly possible. That point where industry meets artistry on such a massive scale seldom turns out an artist’s most sincere work, but Embrace still manages to be genuine at all the moments that count.
Of course, that’s not to say that much of the album takes every opportunity to challenge the status quo. A discerning trance fan of yesteryear would likely scoff at tracks like his Mr. Probz collaboration,...

Coinciding with the release of his sixth studio album, Embrace, Armin van Buuren has announced that Armin Only will return in 2016. The concept of Armin Only is simple, only Armin DJing for over seven hours, with various vocalists and instrumentalists joining him on stage to celebrate his most recent album.
Armin van Buuren’s most recent Armin Only: Intense tour gained international acclaim, bringing together artists like Lindsey Stirling and Richard Bedford, and left fans wanting more.
Details on the new tour are sparse, but it has been revealed that it will continue through 2017. Still, “Embrace” collaborator Eric Vloeimans is almost guaranteed to join Armin on the tour, as the title track epitomizes the album.
Have a listen to Embrace above, and let us know where you want the trance legend to stop on his upcoming tour.

It stands to reason that no upcoming trance album will be quite as highly anticipated as Armin Van Buuren‘s Embrace - not only because the A State of Trance founder is the foremost international authority on the genre, but also because he’s already hyped up the album’s featured artists to a significant extent.
After allowing a couple of tracks from the effort to reach the masses, the Dutchman has gone ahead and shared what his true fans have been waiting for: the first and title track, “Embrace.”
Hearing this song will immediately stoke any Armin Van Buuren fan’s excitement for what his latest stylistic fusion has yielded. A meandering trumpet solo by Eric Vloeimans leads into an invigorating synth melody that taps into much more of the “pure trance” style than a lot of Van Buuren’s recent releases do.

As most of you know, Armin Van Buuren is gearing up to release Embrace, his sixth studio album, on October 30th. Already we’ve heard the disc’s lead single, “Another You,” the collaboration with Hardwell, titled “Off The Hook,” and also the title track, which the producer previewed on episode 733 of his incredibly popular radio show, A State of Trance.
While he’s already spoken out a little bit on what to expect from Embrace, Van Buuren opened up to us last weekend when we sat down with him at TomorrowWorld to chat about the upcoming album. Explaining that the idea behind the effort is to embrace “different instruments” and “experiment,” he went into detail about how it’s been a very different and new experience for him.
Check out what he had to say below:
