- Alvin Barnard Greeson was born in late 1949, in Winder, Georgia. He was ridiculed often growing up for his name and his dream to become an actor. As he got older, his interest in acting increased. He soon made himself known as 'A.B. Greeson', in hopes that it would make him more appealing to casting directors. Eventually he got his big break in the movie "Cockfighter" as Pete Chocolate. Soon after the movie was released, he met the love of his life, Debbie Leigh Webb. Greeson faced a choice: continue to pursue his dream of acting, or settle down and start a family. He chose the latter.
He and Debbie married in 1978, and he put his acting chops on a shelf. In 1980, Alvin and Debbie welcomed their first daughter. Short years later, his second daughter was born. Alvin and Debbie divorced in 1993 and although this was a chance for A.B. Greeson to make his return to the big screen, Alvin found he no longer had such a burning passion for acting. Instead, he fell into the writing world. He was published by many newspapers and few magazines. His love for writing was something he passed on to both of his daughters and his grandchildren.
Alvin Greeson died in the winter of 2013, after contracting a bad case of the flu. He was buried in his hometown of Lawrenceville, Georgia.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Martin Bradshaw
