Executive producer and executive director who managed successful campaigns to increase the size and scope of Oregon's film industry. Producer of television, film, radio, music, print, advertising and live events.
McFadden, with Jessica Beer, organized Oregon's film and television industry's successful effort to increase production recruited to Oregon from $40 million per year (2007) to $160 million per year (2015), and with James Wilder-Hancock and the OPA passed into law the independent Oregon Production Incentive Fund (I-OPIF, L-OPIF and R-OPIF) allowing Oregon low-budget filmmakers, post-production houses and video game producers to receive state incentive dollars. As of January 2020, that fund supported more than $10 million of projects made by Oregon indie producers to date.
McFadden produced a three-year conference series on financing, distributing and marketing independent media projects (NW Film Finance) and developed the e-commerce website SourceOregon.com, allowing media production projects to connect with qualified local professionals. McFadden produced the 1996-music television program "Insomnia" at Impromptu Entertainment, rating 11% share of the Portland market. "Insomnia" was one of the first television programs in America to utilize broadcast-quality hand-held digital video thanks to director Brett Eichenberger, producers Lisa Wible Turowski, Rod Pitmon and Matt Yankovitch, and talent Gustav and Todd Robinson. Insomnia launched into syndication on television networks in the U.S. and Canada. McFadden produces and develops a variety of projects in various stages of development.
