Exclusive: Diane Farr (Splitting Up Together), Jordan Calloway (Black Lightning), Stephanie Arcila (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels) and Jules Latimer (Guilty Party) are set as series regulars opposite Max Thieriot in CBS’ drama pilot Cal Fire, from Jerry Bruckheimer Television and CBS Studios. They join previously announced series regulars Billy Burke and Kevin Alejandro.
The project is inspired by Thieriot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country and stems from an original idea by the actor, who also co-penned the story for the pilot with its writers, Tony Phelan and Joan Rater.
In Cal Fire, Bode Donovan (Thieriot) is seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence when he joins a firefighting program that returns him to his small Northern California hometown. There, he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region.

For those of you still holding out hope that Jughead isn’t really dead, tonight’s Riverdale sure didn’t help ease your fears, did it?
More from TVLineRiverdale Shocker: Skeet Ulrich to ExitRiverdale: Marisol Nichols to ExitRoswell, New Mexico Trailer: Max's Death Changes Everything in Season 2
We pick up in that patch of woods behind Stonewall, with Archie, Betty and Veronica burning their clothes — and Jughead’s beanie — in a campfire. (At least Jughead’s still narrating, right?) They tell their parents three different stories, though, and in a booth at Pop’s,...

Toni went undercover at The Farm, Archie accepted a boxing rematch with Randy, and Jellybean got kidnapped by The Gargoyle King on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 18.
Below, TV Fanatics Brandon Vieira, Becca Newton, and Kat Pettibone debate Betty returning Alice to The Farm, the romantic spark between "Varchie," and Betty's reputation at Riverdale High.
Cheryl and Alice both believed that they saw Jason and Charles, and that they hugged them. How do you think Edgar Evernever is making this miracle happen?
Brandon: The Riverdale drug trade has been such a big storyline on the show that I have feeling it's connected here somehow. Perhaps Edgar's secretly drugging them with an odd batch of Fizzle Rocks and then seeing their dead loved ones is a major side effect.
Becca: Drugs. During the Heathers episode on Riverdale Season 3 Episode 16, Kevin hallucinated seeing Midge right after he ate Evelyn's mushroom brownie.

Two ‘ships are about to have their moment in the spotlight during next Wednesday’s Riverdale (The CW, 8/7c).
“It’s a powerful episode between Cheryl and Toni,” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said during the show’s PaleyFest panel on Sunday. The writers have discussed a potential romance since first introducing the bisexual Serpent, so “it’s nice to see it come to fruition.”
Actress Madelaine Petsch believes her character’s sexuality wasn’t a recent realization for Cheryl. “It is something she’s known for a long time, but her mom has [made Cheryl] push it down,” she shared. With the conversion therapy plot,...

The prodigal son is moving in. This should be the happiest day in the Cooper family household with their son returning home. Unfortunately, things don't look to be all toothy smiles and photo ops.
Chic Cooper isn't fitting in on Riverdale Season 2 Episode 11.
Something seems off about the long lost Cooper. Others are noticing his strange behavior and that he's not like them. But, could he have more in common with his family than we think?
Betty has a "darkness" inside her. We saw her secret side emerge on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 3, but we don't know much else about it except that she feels it. This evil has been an ongoing mystery.
Based on the teaser below, Betty feels comfortable enough to discuss it with Chic. This could be the first step for the Cooper siblings to connect.
Does Chic also have the "darkness" in him? Is he simply misunderstood?...
