Elsbeth’s season 1 run is far from being over with the final episode set to be released on May 25, but a brand new clip gives a major hint at some exciting guest appearances in the upcoming episodes.
A police procedural comedy drama, Elsbeth follows an eccentric attorney whose shrewd observations come in handy when she needs to deal with New York’s criminal world — and it looks like she will get some help from Hollywood’s famous comedians.
The one-minute-long brand new trailer opens with the scene where Elsbeth introduces herself to a couple with the woman describing Elsbeth as “that odd woman that works with the police'', also calling her funny.
The main character then proceeds to interact with Keegan-Michael Key explaining to him that she used to be a lawyer back in the day, but then found her vocation in solving murder cases — both characters later appear to...

Hugh Jackman broke all our hearts when he revealed that Logan (2017) was going to be his Wolverine’s swan song. But we can’t really blame him, can we? The man had been playing the character since 2000! Perhaps his desire to leave Wolverine and the rest of the X-Men behind stemmed from his time on X-Men: Days of Future Past.

While filming Days of Future Past, Hugh Jackman collaborated with actors like Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, who were much younger than him. Given their age difference, Hugh Jackman felt much older than he actually was and the co-stars’ shenanigans made him come to the conclusion that he was the old man on the set.

Jennifer Lawrence had her fair share of feuds in the time of her career, but few have rarely been as high profile as her butting heads with Fashion Police alum Joan Rivers. The X-Men alum was so frustrated by their feud, that her public admission of it made the whole feud a lot uglier.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese have collaborated on a number of projects together as actor and director. Beginning their partnership with Gangs of New York, the duo went on to work on films such as The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and the recent Killers of the Flower Moon. The duo are also rumored to collaborate again on a Frank Sinatra biopic.
While the two have worked together on many projects, they have also developed projects that have never seen the light of day. One of those was apparently a biographical drama on Alexander, The Great. The two never got to make it, but the duo may have no regrets about it as Colin Farrell’s version of the film ended up almost costing the actor his career.

Actors have to learn to do all kinds of interesting things in order to play various roles, from accents to dance moves to various skills and hobbies. Jennifer Lawrence learned how to skin and gut a squirrel for her role in the 2010 Kentucky holler noir "Winter's Bone," for example, and the actors in James Cameron's "Avatar: The Way of Water" had to learn how to hold their breath for an extended length of time. For Denis Villeneuve's "Dune: Part One" and "Dune: Part Two," star Timothée Chalamet theoretically had to learn quite a bit, because there are many aspects of life on the desert planet Arrakis that just don't have direct Earth counterparts. It's not like he can just magically understand what it's like to be surrounded by the psychic power-giving spice, for example, but he certainly has to pretend. As his character Paul Atreides, who is destined to become the Muad'dib,...

Do Aur Do Pyaar Box Office Collection Day 1: Takes A Fair Start, Reports Are Good (Photo Credit –Facebook)
It was a fair start for this Friday release Do Aur Do Pyaar as 80 lakhs came in. This is actually also on expected lines since the current season is just not conducive for films, as has been seen with Eid releases all well, and hence everything is boiling down to word of mouth.
What works in favor of this urban romcom is the fact that the reports are good, both from critics as well as that segment of audiences which has watched it. This one is a core multiplex film for the urban audiences at key metros and if they catch fancy to it, there is a chance that growth will indeed happen. The iconic screenwriter of Taxi Driver, Paul Schrader, once said, “Every time I thought that I might die, I would get a new idea.” Now, although the 81-year-old auteur, Martin Scorsese is very far from the final event, the legendary director and Leonardo DiCaprio collaborator has quipped once or twice his fear of not having much time left to do all of the things he wants to do. Perhaps that very thought has led to Scorsese picking up his pace on two projects of astounding weight and value – Jesus Christ and Frank Sinatra.

The Oscar-winner and the Nobel laureate have teamed up to make Bread & Roses, a new film about the abuse of women in Afghanistan. In an emotional interview, they warn that the west ignores its message at their peril
“Strong women are not easy women,” says Jennifer Lawrence, “and a woman’s life is lonely. So much of our experience cannot be shared or understood by men, and our rights are in their hands. That’s why we need each other.”
The two other people on our video call nod in agreement. One is Malala Yousafzai, who, with Lawrence, has produced a new documentary about the oppression of Afghan women by the Taliban after US troops withdrew in 2021. The other is Sahra Mani, who directed it.

According to Zack Snyder, one of the most significant Dceu storylines seems to have originated from none other than Oscar-winning star Leonardo DiCaprio. The 49-year-old actor was once considered for the role of Lex Luthor, Superman’s greatest enemy. In an exclusive interview with Josh Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the director disclosed that he had a meeting with the Titanic star to discuss the role in his 2016 superhero flick, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
However, Jesse Eisenberg ultimately won the role. Snyder also recalled that DiCaprio came up with the plan to pit Henry Cavill’s Superman against the Justice League. Sadly, the Dceu timeline came to an end in 2023 (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom), capping ten years of superhero films that started with Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013).

Martin Scorsese fans might have experienced a bit of deja vu after Variety exclusively reported that a Frank Sinatra biopic is one of two films the Oscar-winning director is planning to shoot back to back. The other is a movie about Jesus, the director’s second after 1988’s “The Last Temptation of Christ.” But it’s the Sinatra biopic that has long been a white whale of sorts for Scorsese.
Per Variety’s report, Scorsese’s Sinatra movie is eyeing his longtime muse Leonardo DiCaprio to star as the crooner — and the actor’s “Don’t Look Up” co-star Jennifer Lawrence to play his second wife, the famous Hollywood actress Ava Gardner (who factored into Scorsese’s “The Aviator” and was played by Kate Beckinsale). Sony is reportedly the frontrunner to nab the project, which Scorsese once tried and failed to get off the ground several years ago.

Romantic comedies are a tricky beast. Gone are the simple days of You’ve Got Mail or Sleepless in Seattle. Now, we have edgy and rated-r affairs such as No Hard Feelings featuring Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. However, love and relationships have been documented in different ways through movies and television. Oftentimes, Rated R films touch on sensitive subjects that are open to an ugly truth about love and relationships in general. These types of films are few and far in-between these days, but there are classics ready to watch in the comfort of your own home. These are the best

The director is planning to return to his long-delayed project with Jennifer Lawrence co-starring as Ava Gardner – but rights may prove a stumbling-block
Martin Scorsese is reportedly reviving his dormant Frank Sinatra biopic, with regular collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.
According to Variety, Scorsese is planning to start filming a Sinatra project directly after completing shooting on his film about Jesus, adapted from a book by Japanese writer Shūsaku Endō. Variety also suggested that DiCaprio will play Sinatra while Jennifer Lawrence will be cast as Ava Gardner, who was married to the singer between 1951 and 1957. However, Variety reports that Scorsese has not yet secured the approval of Sinatra’s daughter Tina, who controls her father’s music and image rights.

What’s next for Martin Scorsese after “Killers Of The Flower Moon“? Well, it’s several things, including another Shūsaku Endō adaptation. Martin Scorsese is set to turn to his long-gestating Frank Sinatra biopic once he’s finished his Jesus Christ film, it seems. More here.
It took him a long time to make, release and promote Killers Of The Flower Moon, but Martin Scorsese is now planning to get back to a movie set. Two movie sets as it happens, with apparent plans to make his next pair of films back-to-back.
The man has more energy at 81 than I have at, er, my age. Proof? Well, we knew that he was planning to make a film about Jesus Christ, the fourth time he’ll have directed an overtly religious-themed feature. The plan with that is for it to be a much slimmer film than his last two features (The Irishman preceded Killers Of The Flower Moon of course).
But now we learn that he’s resurrected a long-time passion project (another one!

Fresh off of scoring 10 Oscar nominations for Killers Of The Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese is showing no signs of slowing down. He's got two long-gestating projects he'd like to clear from his To Do list, one of them a biodrama about legendary crooner Frank Sinatra's tumultuous private life. The film, assuming it all comes together, would star the director's current primary collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio as Sinatra, with Jennifer Lawrence the top choice to play his second wife, Ava Gardner.
You might think Scorsese can simply hit a button at this point to indicate that he wants to make a movie and everything simply falls into place, but it's far from that easy. Sinatra's daughter Tina controls her father's estate and hasn't yet given her blessing to the film. Which isn't hugely surprising since it aims to cover the period where Sinatra's affair with Gardner broke up his marriage to Nancy Barbato,...

It was a very good year for Martin Scorsese when the iconic filmmaker earned 10 Oscar nominations for Killers of the Flower Moon, but the 81-year-old auteur isn’t slowing down. In addition to partnering with Steven Spielberg to adapt Cape Fear for TV and adapting Life of Jesus based on Shūsaku Endō’s 1973 novel, Scorsese is eyeing a Frank Sinatra biopic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence reportedly leading the cast.
While a Frank Sinatra biopic based on the life and times of the world-famous crooner sounds like a dream project come true, Scorsese might encounter a sour note on behalf of the late entertainer’s daughter, Tina Sinatra, who controls her father’s estate. Tina is withholding her blessing for Scorsese to move forward with the project, but that hasn’t stopped him from lining up a cast of A-list actors to make it a reality. Martin Scorsese is ol’ blue-eyeing a big new project.
Variety reports that Scorsese is developing a Frank Sinatra biopic that will star Leonardo DiCaprio as the legendary crooner and Jennifer Lawrence as movie star Ava Gardner, Sinatra’s second wife. It would be the Oscar-winning director’s seventh film with DiCaprio and a reunion for DiCaprio and Lawrence, who worked together on the Best Picture-nominated dark comedy “Don’t Look Up.”
The 81-year-old filmmaker plans to tackle the Sinatra biopic after “Life of Jesus,” his independently financed religious film that is expected to go into production this year. (Variety notes that “Silence” star Andrew Garfield and “Top Gun: Maverick” actor Miles Teller are up for potential roles in that project.)

Pixar Animation is all set to release the much-awaited Inside Out 2 in June of this year. Coming nine years after the first film, which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, the sequel introduces new emotions in the protagonist Riley, who has to deal with a new phase of her life: teenage. Apart from regulars Amy Poehler and Phyllis Smith, the sequel sees Maya Hawke and Ayo Edebiri join the cast as new emotions.
Hawke voices the emotion of Anxiety in Inside Out 2, which enters Headquarters when Riley decides to try out for a hockey team. The makers reportedly did a lot of research on what kind of emotions a thirteen-year-old usually begins to have and fixed on a few, including anxiety. The makers also reportedly took inspiration from one Adam Sandler film to treat the visuals for scenes involving Anxiety.

Martin Scorsese is taking on biopics of both Jesus and a music god: Frank Sinatra.
The Oscar-winning auteur is rumored to be once more developing a biopic based on the legendary crooner — a project Scorsese’s been associated with before — with longtime collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio in talks to portray Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. Variety reported the news. DiCaprio recently starred in Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and also led other Scorsese-helmed biopics like “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “The Aviator.”
Variety noted that Frank Sinatra’s daughter Tina Sinatra controls her father’s estate and hasn’t yet approved a film adaptation of his life story. However, Scorsese is already looking to cast both DiCaprio and fellow Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence in the film, with Lawrence portraying screen star Ava Gardner, who was Sinatra’s second wife after Nancy Barbato. Lawrence and DiCaprio co-starred in “Don’t Look Up.

"Killers of the Flower Moon" may have ended with a bittersweet final coda from Martin Scorsese, but the acclaimed octogenarian director clearly still has plenty of future projects on his plate. Variety just broke the news that Scorsese apparently has a Frank Sinatra biopic in the works, and while the filmmaker's reps declined to comment, the outlet claims he has none other than frequent leading man Leonardo DiCaprio in mind to play the lead. The filmmaker's take on the famous crooner's life also reportedly will include a major part for Jennifer Lawrence, who sources say will play Sinatra's second wife, Ava Gardner.
According to the trade outlet, the Sinatra picture isn't exactly a done deal: Variety notes that Sinatra's daughter Tina, who controls the late singer's estate, hasn't given her blessing for the movie yet. It’s been at least 15 years since Martin Scorsese first got involved with a biopic of Frank Sinatra, an almost too-logical pairing of Italian-Americans of a certain age from the tri-state area. Around the time of Hugo, Scorsese was so excited by 3D he considered shooting it and Silence (!) on the format; needless to say this did not come to pass. Many years went by, rights evaporated, and the busier-by-the-day octogenarian seemingly moved on.
Which makes it a great surprise, per Variety, that Scorsese’s perhaps more eager than ever to move forward: Leonardo DiCaprio is (of course) his consideration for ol’ blue eyes, while Jennifer Lawrence would portray Ava Gardner, Sinatra’s second wife and the woman who most drove him insane. Apple (of Flower Moon) and Sony are interested, which matters less when Tina Sinatra, the estate owner, has yet to give blessing. One thinks, however, it’s just a matter of time.

Despite being 81 years old, legendary Hollywood director and Oscar winner Martin Scorsese is not ready to retire. After his most recent film, Killers of the Flower Moon, was nominated for numerous awards, the acclaimed filmmaker is seemingly eyeing a new project and while it has yet to be greenlit, Scorsese has seemingly begun to put together a star-filled cast. The movie in question is a biopic about legendary singer and actor Frank Sinatra, and knowing Scorsese’s background in music, this biopic promises to be amazing.
Frank Sinatra is a legendary figure in American pop culture. Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to play Frank Sinatra in a new biopic from Martin Scorsese.
Variety broke news of the project on Wednesday, while also noting that Jennifer Lawrence is in line to play Sinatra’s second wife, actress Ava Gardner. Not surprisingly, the film is reportedly drawing major interest from studios, including Sony and Apple, but must still receive approval from Sinatra’s daughter, Tina, who controls her late father’s estate.
The project would mark the seventh collaboration between DiCaprio and Scorsese, following Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and last year’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

Mark Twain once quipped, “Age is a case of mind over matter. If you don’t mind it, it doesn’t matter.” When it comes to Martin Scorsese, age certainly isn’t making a difference. After landing 10 Oscar nominations for last year’s historical crime epic “Killers of the Flower Moon,” the 81-year-old director has mapped out his next several projects. Sources say he plans to shoot two films back to back: the first about Jesus, the second a Frank Sinatra biopic.

Lynne Ramsay’s next film, Die, My Love, is said to be a Sylvia Plath-style tale of grief that will go before cameras later this year.
Lynne Ramsay’s career as a director spans a quarter of a century, yet she only has four films to her name. Still, when those four films are Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin and 2017’s You Were Never Really Here, you have the kind of filmography that would make many a filmmaker envious.
