In recent years the “Survivor” jury has been composed of anywhere from 8 to 10 ousted castaways, with “Survivor: Ghost Island” clocking in at a record 11 jury votes after a 5-5 tie required the third finalist, Laurel Johnson, to cast the deciding vote between eventual winner Wendell Holland and runner-up Domenick Abbate. That record is about to be shattered. If the rest of the current 38th season of “Survivor: Edge of Extinction” plays out according to plan, with a Final 3 and no one else leaving the game, then a whopping 13 jury members will decide the winner.

Season 37 of CBS’s landmark reality TV show “Survivor” premiered Wednesday night with an exciting new “David vs. Goliath” twist of biblical proportions. One tribe consists of underdogs who are used to overcoming obstacles (the Davids) while the other includes over-achievers who’ve lived their whole lives with inherent advantages (the Goliaths). So which tribe won the first head-to-head battle of this “equal opportunity game,” as host Jeff Probst calls it, and who was voted out first?

“Survivor: David vs. Goliath” premieres on September 26, 2018, once again hosted by four-time Emmy winner Jeff Probst. This 37th season features two tribes of strangers — one perceived as underdogs and one seen as giants in their fields — battling against each other in Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. This time around the castaways had to deal with Fiji’s rainy season, which no doubt made things more challenging both physically and mentally.

“Survivor” fans, is Ghost Island a bust? Specifically, we’re talking about the twist itself and not the overall 36th season of CBS’s reality TV show. In fact, this season’s cast makes for great TV and we can’t wait to see how next week’s second tribe swap will shake things up. But the twist of having castaways visit Ghost Island where they’re supposed to come face to face with the mistakes of past players hasn’t really panned out as fans hoped it would. Let us know your thoughts on Ghost Island by voting down in our poll.

The new version of the Maolo tribe will win both the Reward and Immunity challenges on the March 14 episode of “Survivor: Ghost Island.” That will put someone from the Naviti tribe in the crosshairs for elimination at the end of the episode entitled “Trust Your Gut.” It looks like Chris Noble, who was one of the original members of that team, will be sent packing at the tribal council. For a preview of the episode, including a closer look at both challenges, click through the photos above.
After the swap in episode three, the Naviti tribe is comprised of three original members besides Noble — Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland and Angela Perkins — and four Malolo players: Donathan Hurley, Laurel Johnson, James Lim and Libby Vincek. If Noble is bounced, that means that some of his original teammates turned against him.
The Malolo tribe still has Jenna Bowman, Stephanie Johnson, Brendan Shapiro and Michael Yerger.

According to Gold Derby’s exclusive predictions, Brooklyn, New York resident Chris Noble will be voted out of “Survivor” following his brief stint at Ghost Island. After last week’s tribe swap, Chris remained on the Naviti tribe along with original members Morgan Ricke, Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland and Angela Perkins. The four Malolo players who joined them were Donathan Hurley, Laurel Johnson, James Lim and Libby Vincek. If our predictions hold true that Chris is headed home, does that mean Domenick, Wendell and/or Angela abandon their old Naviti tribal lines and join up with the Malolo castaways?
