- C. Reginald Dalby is an illustrator well know for illustrating the first eleven books in The Wilbert Awdry's Railway Series. The Reverend was constantly displeased with his work and Dalby ended up leaving his job as illustrator after "Percy the Small Engine" in 1956. He and was replaced with John T. Kenney. Aside from his work on the Railway Series, he had his own series of books called "Tales of Flitterwick Harbour".
