- She is the daughter of a French violinist and Tonkinese mother. Her family moved to Liège ( Belgium) when she was 7 years old.
- Bébé Hong-Suong was a Belgian singer, known for the song "Rio De Janeiro", which was n° 5 in the hit-parade in 1955.
- Bébé Suong died, a few hours after finalizing last recording "Hymne à l'amour" from Edith Piaf.
- She has also performed on the stages of several festivals in Wallonia, in Comblain-la-Tour, Huy and Namur.
- She also toured abroad, notably in Belgian Congo, at the time for Sabena (the national airline of Belgium from 1923 to 2001).
- More recently, on the occasion of her 85th birthday, Bébé Suong recorded an album illustrating her artistic career, in which she included an interpretation in tribute to the Brussels harmonica player Toots Thielemans, who died in 2016.
- During her international career as a singer and conductor, Bébé Suong performed in the casinos of Knokke and Dunkirk, at the Hilton Hotel in Brussels, and in various jazz clubs in Brussels and Antwerp.
- Among other prizes and various recognitions, Baby Suong obtained a gold disc for her titles "Rio de Janeiro", number five in the charts in 1955, and "Nana".
- Her father was a French violist and director of the opera in his hometown.
- At the age of fifteen, she found herself on a stage in the Lyon region where a tango orchestra performed, of which she was the singer. It was there that she was noticed by the director of the hall "Le Beaulieu" in Grâce-Hollogne (Belgium), which was then a high place of musical life in the Liège region. Seduced by the city and the son of a notable local merchant, she will settle in Liège, marry and become the mother of a little boy.
- Aged a few months, the little girl follows her parents who settle in France in the Lyon region where her father obtains a professorship at the Conservatory.
- She went on tour in the fifties with a famous Dutch jazz group and, on her return, she settled for a few years in Antwerp. It was at this time that she signed a contract with Albert Van Hoogten, producer of the record company Ronnex, and recorded, under the name of Baby Suong, the song "Rio de Janeiro" which was one of the great international hits of the year 1955.
