Deadline understands that the two companies are working up Born For Business, a project that follows four entrepreneurs with physical, cognitive, sensory or mental health disabilities, who have defied society’s stigmas to start their own businesses.
The entrepreneurs will share their journey in the series and showcase their ability as business owners.

Exclusive: Discovery Channel is launching new business format I Quit, with a slew of entrepreneurs risking it by giving up their jobs to follow their passions.
However, the business model behind the show, which launches Tuesday August 18, may be the real point of interest for producers.
The show comes from Shopify Studios, the television production and financing arm of the global online commerce service, and Wheelhouse Entertainment’s Spoke Studios. It was financed and produced by these companies before being picked up by the factual broadcaster, which unusually has just taken U.S. rights rather than full global rights to the format.

Former SoulPancake executive Sarah North has been named Head of Shopify Studios, the content house of multi-channel commerce platform Shopify. She takes over the role previously held by Jason Badal, who will continue to lead business affairs, distribution and partnerships for the company, reporting to North.
In her new position, North will oversee development, production, and distribution across the company’s slate of projects, including feature documentaries and long-form series. Shopify Studios has projects in development and production with partners including Anonymous Content, Wheelhouse Entertainment’s Spoke Studios and Saville Productions, among others. She will be based in Los Angeles.

Digital media company Tastemade and SoulPancake, the content studio and production company owned by Participant Media (“The Help”) and originally founded by Rainn Wilson, have entered a multiplatform partnership.
Together the two will develop and produce original programming for three long-form, unscripted television projects that include the matchmaker series “Board of Dating,” “Move Today,” which finds people in a rut and transports them to an all-new city and life experience, and “Wild Therapy,” where couples find out if tackling big challenges together in the wild can mend their relationship issues.
