Ufc
There are two big Ufc events coming your way this weekend, and the second of them (we’ll cover more on the Tuf 20 finale once the fights are set following the final episode of the show) features the return to action of former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos, lightweight Nate Diaz, and long-absent Stefan Struve.
This is a big card for a Fox event, and if they don’t totally kill it with too many commercial breaks, it should be a pretty exciting one. That said, it could also be a very short event, with the three heavyweight bouts on the card all capable of ending in a quick knockout. Should that happen, the Ufc may be looking to bump up a fight from the preliminary card onto the main broadcast as a reply to fill time – and luckily, there are enough decent fights on the prelims for this to be doable.

The Ufc falls under the category of “sports,” but since its television breakout a decade ago, the spectacle of the events has become great TV. Despite the dozens of crossover stars and ascendent champions the Ultimate Fighting Championship has produced, it’s entirely possible that the most recognizable face of the Ufc is that of announcer Bruce Buffer. With his authoritative bellow intoning his signature catchphrase “It’s Time!” Buffer has turned the simple act of introducing fighters into top-shelf television. His history with the company runs deep, and he’s as much a fan as he is one of...

A spectacular card concluded in Sao Paolo, Brazil this past weekend with the Ufc on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping. Despite a title shot looming with a win, Michael “The Count” Bisping (23-5) fell in astonishing fashion with a devastating head kick by Vitor Belfort (22-10) in the second round. This was the 15th knockout of Vitor’s illustrious and storied career.

Episode (018) Summary
The only fight on the Facebook prelims features Lightweights Francisco “Massaranduba” Trinaldo (11-2) against C. J. Keith (8-1). Many Ufc fans are looking forward to the heavyweight title main event between current Ufc heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, who is currently undefeated and holds a notable victory over Gabriel Gonzaga. But it looks like fans will have to wait a little bit longer since the fight has been postponed for early next year.
Ufc has initially announced that Lesnar and Carwin will be featured on Ufc 106, which is scheduled to commence on November 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada. As an alternative, the light heavyweight rematch between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin has become the new main event for Ufc 106.
