- Masakazu Yoshizawa was born on September 10, 1950 in Takayama, Gifu, Japan. He was an actor, known for Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and TMNT (2007). He died on October 24, 2007 in San Gabriel, California, USA.
- Master of traditional Japanese flutes. Known particularly for playing the shakuhachi, made of bamboo.
